Had Ayam buah keluak for the first time and buah keluak is indeed an acquired taste. It’s like coffee/chocolate/olives and went well with rice, but overpowering on its own. The Assam fish was powerful (spicy, sour, sweet) but once again, damn good with rice. Kueh pie tee was a bit oily but otherwise tasty. Slightly pricey, lots of tourist, would bring overseas friends here
$100 per pax for 2 pax, includes a glass of champagne each. Food was mostly tasty but the beef cheeks on the risotto (top right corner pic) was AMAZING. Imagine beef cotton candy that literally toothless people can eat. It’s THAT soft. Mind blown by this main dish. Well that and the dessert, coconut sorbet, rum infused pineapple and something sour. Awesome ending to the meal! Ps: buy vouchers on chope to get discount...
