The 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 ($5.90) was good, but as with most loaded fries, it got soggy towards the end.

[Novena] Been feasting real hard this week. I finally tried out 𝙁𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 (Single Classic, $8.50), which had a substantial patty but wasn’t too impressive flavour-wise. For their classic burger, the sauce was just regular mayo and mustard.

I would definitely advise against the 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙚 ($7.80), which tastes like pandan waffle batter. It’s way too sweet and their normal shakes are much better.

Even though ~$15 for a burger is a bit of an oof, the 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙠 is really the best of both worlds — with both a juicy beef patty and crispy mushroom cheese patty. I’d probably get it again, though at the expense of my waistline 😰

While I loved their burger, I didn’t enjoy the 𝘽𝘽𝙌 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙍𝙞𝙗𝙨 ($24) as much though. While the meat was tender, it wasn’t really well marinated. The BBQ flavour mainly came from the thick layer of BBQ sauce on top of the ribs. Sadly, the best part of this dish was the wedges, so I probably won’t be getting this again. ⠀⠀

This place reminds me of those Australian brunch spots with their tiled walls and high ceilings. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how pretty the restaurant was! It actually reminds me of Merci Marcel (though my impression of that place is mostly from peeping in thru the windows rip)⠀

I’d defo be back to try their other mains 🥰 Would recommend making a reservation though, because it was quite packed on a Wednesday night! ⠀⠀

Paid $15 per pax after Beyond

I know everyone gets pasta at this place, but I seriously can’t bear to spend $$ on pastas so I got some meaty mains instead. We paid $15 (inc tax) per main after Burpple Beyond, which is pretty worth to me. ⠀⠀

I enjoyed their 𝙒𝙖𝙜𝙮𝙪 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 ($25) because it was made from all the basics done right! They combined all my favourite components of a burger (a brioche bun, some caramelised onions and a juicy patty) and took out all the things that would’ve made it soggy (lettuce, tomatoes etc). Of course, girl’s got to have her vegetables so I was glad they also packed some salad on the side.

Upgraded my fries (+$1) to Cajun fries, which were pretty flavourful! A bit 心痛 to pay $1 extra for that small bit of paprika powder, so I’d probably stick to regular fries next time. ⠀⠀

I also loved the 𝘾𝙖𝙟𝙪𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 ($8) — a massive bowl of fries seasoned with paprika, garlic powder and other spices. Super crispy shoestring fries and I’ll defo get it again. ⠀

We also ordered the 𝙋𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙏𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙨 ($22) but I didn’t really enjoy the tangy seasoning of the pork. I’m not really a taco person too, so that probably coloured my opinion of the dish. ⠀

The 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($20) were the highlight of my meal. The waffles were crisp with a nice tang, and the crispy chicken was larger than my face! I especially loved the maple-butter sauce, which added some homely comfort to this dish. Probably shouldn’t eat this too often or risk getting arterial disease, but this is certainly a cheat meal I’ll revisit again. ⠀

Flavourful, spice-filled dough topped with a humongous prawn! What’s not to love.

This burger set (burger+fries) was only $10! The portions are super generous too! The burger is comparable to the normal beef burger you can get alacarte at Mezza9, which would cost you around $30 normally. The patty is super juicy and the entire burger is really flavourful and well seasoned.

You can get bestselling dishes from Mezza9 and the other restaurants at Hyatt (like Straits Kitchen) for only $10! Just place an order on their website and make payment online. Would recommend ☺️☺️

The Black Tie burger came with truffle aioli, rocket, cheese between a brioche buns. I’ve tried a bunch of Impossible burgers and it’s true that the patty is the closest to meat that you can get right now. The patty is pretty damn good.

Sadly, I can’t say the same about the burger itself. It had way too much mayo 😢 I had to scrape some of the mayo off because it was just too much. It really drowned the taste of the rocket, cheese and Impossible patty. There wasn’t much truffle flavour as well. 😬

The set came with a burger, shoestring truffle fries and a coke for $24. After Burpple Beyond, we paid $12 per pax. Though the shoestring fries were good, it can’t make up for the burger. Though the staff did say that the burger was meant to be eaten with two patties (+$6), I feel like this mayo problem is probably unrelated to the bun-to-meat ratio.

I probably wouldn’t be back again because I prefer a more well-balanced burger.
