I remember Ajisen used to be the go-to affordable ramen stall back when we were young. I have always stick with ordering the usual and over time, they included more variety to the basic dishes that they used to have on the menu. So apparently this time, I decided to opt for the "trendier" flavour to go with my ramen 😂

The Tom yam flavour was more on the soury side rather than spicy so it's great for those whose spicy taste buds are not that advanced. LOL. But it's still tasty and goes extremely well with the pork shabu slices imo. You may order this ala carte or with a set that includes a drink and side.

Flavourful pork bone broth with thin ramen noodles. Soup is neither too thick nor too greasy, served with a huge slice of pork slice not the usual chashu slice.

Set comes with a drink and a choice of side which I chose the steamed egg (chawanmushi). Their chawanmushi comes with braised pork (what?!) and it’s damn fragrant!! Can try! I chose thick noodles for my bowl of ramen and it goes super well with the red soup which is actually spicy pork broth soup!

Springy noodles and perfect soup base.
Opt for this if you are in town and craving for something soupy on rainy day! I went for the “original” flavoured ramen as I wanted to try the authentic taste before going for other options the next round. I believe if they can’t even get the basics right then the other flavours will also not be better lol.

But it hits my expectations damn right! And also all of the high notes of my tastebuds LOL

I wished the soup was like HDL’s tomato soup tho. Too puréed for my liking, it’s quite jalat after eating half a bowl.

It’s really on extreme ends of the scale. If you like congrats, if you don’t, you just don’t.
