Seafood (a bit of Chinese)

It roughly translates to Smoked Crab in English
The seasoning is SO GOOD and when eaten with the fleshy crab and some rice, DAMN yes! You gotta try it for yourselves!
My other favorite in this restaurant is their Ikan Bakar Kecap (second picture). My favorite type of fish to be grilled is ‘Kuwe’ as they are fleshy and their meat is thick and white. Ikan Bakar Kecap roughly translates to Kecap Grilled Fish. The fish is glazed with the delicious kecap seasoning then grilled to perfection! ✨
Pondok Pangandaran also has all other fresh and tasty seafood, eg. in frame Kepiting Saus Padang, Kepiting Soka Telur Asin, Ikan Bakar Rica” , Cumi Goreng Tepung, Udang Rebus, Cap cai.
Memang seafood Indonesia itu the best!
Btw other things I like about Pondok Pangandaran is their seafood is always fresh and their reasonable price!

Wee nam kee’s cereal prawn tasted amazing! Might be better if the prawns were deshelled, but the cereal seasoning was ON POINT! 👌🏻 totally a must try!!!

Of course we ordered their award winning Chili Crab! Size M is the only one available that time and at $80++ it was enough for the 4 of use. The chili crab is amazing and super delicious 🤩! Plus the crab was fleshy! (Indonesians pls don’t compare with Indonesian chili crab coz pasti Indonesia lebih berbumbu and tipe rasanya juga beda). With a chili crab obviously comes man tou(s) 😍 (aka my fav part of chili crab coz bread is love). The man tou wasn’t that satisfactory as the outer part lacks the (sort of harder) crispy part in my opinion. It was crispy but too brittle, ohh and also I’d prefer it to be bigger in size.

Salted egg prawns were so good! I love the grainy texture of the sauce + the prawns are de-shelled, making them WAY more convenient to be eaten.

Beef black pepper has very tender beef and so goooood. As for the sauce I think it’s just okay because the black pepper didn’t really stand out.

Crab Meat Tofu was SO GOOD as the tofu was smooth as silk and the crab meat sauce has lot of meat 👌🏻

Signature seafood fried rice wasn’t as good as expected as it was kinda insipid. Or maybe just because the other dishes are flavorful? But really it didn’t leave any special impressions as I have expected.
