For a post-drink snack, a good friend recommended us the mushrooms, Taiwanese sausage, chicken wings, pork belly, and long beans.

The skewered items are generally seasoned the same way - strong, flavourful and intense. Each skewer didn't really have a distinctive taste. Additionally, all shared a similar theme, where each item was juicy and had a nice thick bite to it. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, as the spices ingrained in the meat are pretty overpowering! Out of the fistful of skewers, the mushrooms were my personal favourite where they make a perfect pair with the chicken wings.

This is our go-to place whenever we crave for something sumptuous yet easy-on-the-wallet! Love how we are able to choose from a plethora of side dishes, and this spread amounted to only $14.

What is so alluring about Teochew porridge is the robust flavours of the dishes, juxtaposed with the piping hot plain congee. Each mouthful warmed us from the inside out!

Although we felt that no particular item stood out out from this spread, it is the ultimate culmination of everything on our bowls that makes the entire experience so delectable and tantalising.

This Imperial Ginger Chicken set ($8.90) arrived steaming hot in a bamboo basket. Blanketed under a thick layer of finely mashed ginger, the large chicken leg is juicy and steamed to perfection 👌 Absolutely loved how the meat is fall-off-the-bone soft, and it goes well with the rice which is fragrant and holds a lot of flavour in each grain. The tangy chilli added a fiery kick to the meat and it was depleted within seconds 😂

The eatery is very spacious and comfortable. It is definitely a good place to chill with a decent cup of aromatic cuppa ☕

The soup was very nourishing and sweet from the clams. Although it came in a small cauldron, it felt like a bottomless pit as we couldn't stop scooping up an extremely generous amount of ingredients - around 16 lala clams 😱, mushrooms, small scallop, dried shrimps, and chinese cabbage 😂

It's our second time here and this time, I tried the vermicelli! The vermicelli is indeed one-of-kind with its silky, smooth and fine texture. It came with a generous assortment of ingredients such as prawns and clams! I also added the chilli for an enhanced flavour profile ☺️ Contrary to popular beliefs, I actually prefer the vermicelli to their lor mee as I felt that the lor mee is too thick for my liking 🤔

The best part is that it's 2 main dishes for $6 now. The portion is really hearty, and it will guarantee a good sleep after the meal 😂

We ordered the char siew and kurabota pork set, butter cereal soft shell crab and garlic stir fried vegetables 😍

The char siew and kurabota pork pieces were glazed with honey and sugar. We love how it's sweet and torched to crispy perfection! The fat to meat ratio is superb, couldn't resist having more of those juicy and fatty meat 😂 It is topped with an onsen egg, which was unfortunately a little tasteless 🤔

Being a quintessential favourite, the crispy soft shell crab is a winner in our eyes! It is coated with a heap of lip-smacking fried flaky butter cereal crumbs that was so buttery and fragrant. Could just eat this everyday 😋

Can you believe that this is the same price as the broccoli 🥦 though though?? 🤔 It would be good if they served weekend set lunches too, as they currently serve set lunches on weekdays only 😁 The ala carte dishes are a little pricey, but I think the taste does justify its price tag hehe.
