Finally had the opportunity to indulge in one of the best Italian restaurant, Braci is also One Michelin starred restaurant in Singapore. Thank you @cookjul for spoiling and treating me to the best birthday dinner.
I’m very fortunate and lucky to have @iammirkofebbrile surprise me with the best gourmand 5 courses Degustation Menu, and he did not fail me at all. This is probably the best Italian with a little Japanese twist of ingredients I ever had.

For starter the bread served is from Pulia in Southern Italy and is specially flown in weekly. Served with olive oil from the chef’s village in Italy, the bread is freshly warmth up just the way I like it.

Amuse-Bouche: Sun-dried tomatoes, bottarga fish purée, and black truffle.
_
Appetizer: Cone made out of carrot wrapped with Alaskan King Crab meat.
_
Foie Gras Semifreddo with kumquats and fig vincotto served with toasted baguette. This is new to me, I never had Foie Gras that could spread it like butter. It was so damn mind blowing and irresistible.

Kinmedai Tartare, pumpkin purée, Oxalis Flower, Daikon dashed with Apple Vinegar with Lavender tea was wonderful way to start of the dinner.

Langustine tail served with Coconut reduction miso from Kyoto topped with rice cracker is definitely the twist of jap-fusion.

Spaghetti served with Gooseneck Barnacles clam topped with sea urchin and wasabi oil by the side was my top of my favourite dish of the night.
_
As for the mains, we had Japanese A4 Wagyu that was cooked to perfection served with morel Mushroom on sesame cream, beef jus, wasabi oil and mustard seed pickled by the side. The beef was so tender juicy and succulent, it literally melt in my mouth from the perfect amount of fat and meat. It was superb good!

Strawberry Sorbet to cleanse the palate for the main dessert and it was so damn good!

Ending off with 4 bite size British sweet treats presented on hand crafted and built by @chefkirk_w.
It’s definitely a world class gastronomic feast and also the most memorable indescribable experience.

We have wrapped out our dessert for cheese board, with additional order of Baked Brie with truffle ($20++) AND my first experience of having bleu cheese with butter. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m in love. .

My definite favorite to go salad place. I love how they would rather baked or roasted the vegetable then serving boring cold salad.

My usual selection for the daily cut for this spring menu would be:

Base - Baked Sweet Potato
Protein - Grilled Chicken Breast
Supplements - Roasted Broccoli // Parmesan Roasted Cauliflower // Grilled Asparagus
Topping - Garlic Chips
Dressing - Ginger Wafu

Man. It was so damn tasty and the best new is they are on Mileslife too. I eat healthy and earn miles how wonderful can it be. 😎

【JAAN’s Bread】
JAAN’s bread is homemade and served atop a bed of hot stone so that it’s constantly kept warm at the table.
Accompanied by Devon butter that’s umami and decadent, with side of sea salt. I was more than overjoyed just eating the bread on its own. With a crusty shell and a pillow-centre, i am very pleased.

Ilove fattiness of the Wagyu, it’s so enjoyable not to use teeth for the marbling tender juicy Wagyu. But if there’s a choice, I would very much prefer the cows from Miyazaki. 🐂

The may like just a roasted cabbage but the sweetness of the cabbage was so refreshing! The mushroom sauteed perfectly and paired really well with the salty sliced bacon, it’s probably my second favourite dish followed by the pasta.

The foie gras was quite a letdown as we would all prefer it to be cooked a medium rare standard. The exterior of foie gras was too charred and the taste was pretty “rubbery”. It’s definitely almost well done. What a shame to have such an experience from a French Restaurant on foie gras.

The signature cold angel’s hair pasta from the a la carte menu. The helpful manager Kevin suggested we should get 3 servings and he’ll get the kitchen to split the dish into five portions. Honestly, the portion is still rather big, 2 serving would be perfect for 5pax.

Decadent pearls of oscietra caviar has salitness that balanced really well with the refreshing chill of the noodles. No wonder this is a must order from the list, now I understand why.

The amuse bouche was a tempura-ed langoustine (or Ebi Tempura) with pretty generous amount of truffle sprinkled aioli and fresh chives. The sweetness of the prawn was complemented by the creamy aioli. This was really a yummy “mouth amuser” to get the ball rolling for the night!
