Mediterranean Food
Haven't been to @sofrasingapore for more than 10 years and the food was still good when I returned again recently! They have a wide variety of food to choose from and we enjoyed the food a lot. I especially liked the Iskander Kebab because it was flavourful and the Chicken Pide for its cheesy texture 😋
Pete's Mediterranean Grill is another place in Alibabar that serves good food. We had the Beef Kofta with Hummus and we liked how the beef was grilled well with flavour and a tender texture, going nicely with the pita. The Hummus was tasty too! Will go back for more in the future! 😋
Yabby's delight featured smoked crayfish, fresh cucumber potato salad and black garlic aioli was very tasty as well and the smokey flavours were prominent from the crayfish.
The Charcoal Octopus was served with a Kale Greek Salad, I liked how the octopus had a nice charred flavour and the texture was firm and not too chewy.
This is marinated chicken cubes served with Lebanese garlic sauce and rice. It tasted a lot better than it looks with the rice being very fluffy in texture and the chicken was tender as well. The sauce was fragrant and paired with the chicken well.
This is a Lebanese yogurt drink and it comes with mint. We had a choice of having it with sugar or salt and I picked salt. This was very refreshing and was unique too!
We got a mixed grill platter and we were surprised there was so much rice. The meat was a bit dry though. I liked the chilli because it was quite spicy hehe. Their mains are on #burpplebeyond and entertainer so they’re one for one.
We ordered two types of flatbread and they were cheese and thyme flavoured. The cheesy one had a chewy texture and the thyme one was pretty fragrant. It was good we got a variety too. Mains are one for one on both burpple beyond and entertainer!
We had falafel and it was tasty, going well with the tahini sauce too. Mains are one for one in both burpple beyond and entertainer as well!
The mezza platter has the following:
• hummus
• baba ganoush (eggplant with herbs, garlic, tomato, and seasoning)
• labneh (Lebanese yogurt with olive oil and mint)
• moussaka (eggplant, chickpeas, onion, tomato, garlic and green pepper)
• fattoush salad (chopped fresh vegetables topped with toasted Arabic bread).
They were served with the flat bread and was very yummy as an appetiser. They’re all quite different in flavour too.
This comes with 4 dips (spicy eggplant, hummus, labneh and baba ganoush) and 4 pitas. The dips were really flavourful and the pitas were so fluffy I would have eaten many more if there wasn’t more food served after this 😆
This consists of tomato cucumber, olives, feta cheese, green peppers, oregano and extra virgin olive oil. It looks simple but it was really light and refreshing, a great balance to the meal!
