We can never have enough of Pontianak food! š This one is probably the best Nasi Campur Pontianak that we have already had! We first tried this as suggested by one of us who was born in Pontianak.
.
Similar to the other non-halal Nasi Campur, the standard contents in the dish are grilled pork, pork charsew, pork sausage, egg, chicken, garlic and rice. What differentiates the Pontianak one is the usage of clear and thick sauce which should be poured directly to the rice and toppings. We think this is also one of the things that makes Nasi Akwang tastes really good compared to the others with the spices that they use for the sauce! We suggest you to pour it a lot to your rice! š¤¤
.
They also have a jumbo portion for you that are really hungry. Other than the food, we also love their Liang Teh which is quite different with the other ones since it has a purple color š
Butter Pork Ribs, the name of this dish doesnāt sound unique at all, until you see it served on your table.
.
It is Two Chefs Eating Placeās signature dish, deep fried pork ribs mixed with condensed milk powder. Yes, milk powder, and yes, it is sweet. The verdict? It is good! We canāt decide which one is stronger, the sweetness of the milk or the saltiness from the pork. They just mix together in every bite.
Kota 88 is by far our favorite Chinese-Indonesian restaurant in Singapore. The foods remind us of childhood when we joined our moms to Glodok
.
The Nasi Campur is undeniably our go-to, if youāre a first timer here that is what you should try. This time we decided to try their Nasi Goreng Spesial Kota88 and Sup Baikut. Well, where have we been? The Nasi Goreng Spesial (Pork Fried Rice) is to die for. It has the smoky aroma as in nasi goreng tek tek, a thing that weāve been looking for in fried rice. The Sup Baikut (Pork with Vegetable soup) has that classic homemade taste.
.
Kota88 sells Bintang Beer and liquors, it opens until 3AM. Now you know where to go to fix that past-midnight hunger.
