DEEP FRIED

The signature in house wings fried to crispy perfection and tossed in a soy and sambal sauce. This were one of the better wings I’ve had, the outside batter fried until crispy and didn’t get chewy despite the sauce and the inside was still juicy and almost falling off the bone.

Shoestring fries with a pool of squid ink sauce with mentaiko and an onsen egg. Mix in the egg and mentaiko in the middle and use it as a dipping sauce. The fries were pretty good, almost as good as a certain fast food establishment and the dipping sauce quite addictive. The thick sauce however made the fries soggy quite quickly so make sure you gobble these up quick. I really liked the sea bass chunks but they seemed abit out of place.

Hard to find japanese restaurants that manage to do tempura batter well. The batter to filling ratio was good and the batter is nice and light without it being too oily. Pity that the prawn is on the smaller side if only it could’ve been plumper. The assorted vegetables are nice as well and isn’t overcooked, retaining a satisfying crunch.

So KFC comes back with a new flavor and this time the parmesan truffle which I initially thought they were trying to overachieve but was pleasantly surprised.

There are many different combos which you can get the chicken but currently there’s a promo of $8 for 3 piece a la carte if you pay by DBS/POSB card!!

The chicken is speckled with parmesan and the truffle smell is rather strong but I think the truffle flavor came across stronger in the end. I could still taste the truffle when I took a bite into the juicy chicken but the parmesan was rather underwhelming as it only covered the top of the chicken and not evenly sprinkled all over.

The crab was really fresh and not the frozen kind that most japanese restaurants use. The batter was really light and crisp, not taking away the flavor of the crab. It also came with a nice ponzu dipping sauce that cut through the deep fried-ness of the crab.

We ordered the plain version of this ($7.90) but you can also choose between the chicken, beef and seafood for a supplementary $2.

This was so sinful but so so good. I have no idea how they managed to fry this to such perfection, crispy and fluffy at the same time. The best part was getting those little bits of egg that broke away from the main omelette because they’re the crispiest bits. Definitely recommend getting this when you visit this place.

This comes in 4 flavors: buttermilk original, mild hotness, extra hotness and insane hotness

The buttermilk one came with a crumb coating with was pretty nice but you definitely have to get the hot chicken when you’re here. All the chicken is freshly fried and takes about 15-20mins to come.

The mild hotness isn’t very hot at all, the extra hot was still manageable for me but the insane hotness shouldn’t be underestimated my friend ordered it and started sweating buckets but if you’re into that sorta thing go for it!! The chicken is really juicy and I would come back again only gripe being it’s abit too expensive.

They have many different combinations for tendon so there’s something for everyone. Ordered the soft shell crab tendon that came with prawn, pumpkin, longbean, egg etc. ps break the egg so the rice sooaaaks up all the liquid yolk😩

The set also comes with miso soup and chawamushi and free flow pickles the pickles are super appetizing and rly helps to cut through all the fried stuff. Would highly recommend the soft shell crab and if you’re lucky you get to enjoy crab roe too heh like I did.

only gripe is that it gets abit oily after awhile but maybe it’s coz it was really crowded???

As the title suggests, this came with 3 generous pieces of fried chicken (drumstick, thigh, breast) which were rly juicy and well seasoned. would recommend it if you need to satisfy a fried chicken craving. the chicken is unlike the KFC kind where it comes with a heavily battered coating but they kept it simple and let the chicken do the “clucking”.

Comes with a side of salad and fries which you can upgrade to truffle kombu fries for $2 which tasted abit like seaweed shaker fries imo
