very convenient location, jus beside the train station exit. however, it’s a small hotel so no swimming pool:( but it’s so far the best hotel i have stayed in ximending area.. only manage to have breakfast for 2 days 😂 totally not a morning person #jxeatstravel
My all time fav and it’s been 8 years and they still haven’t open one in sg 😭 miss you cheese potato ❤️
Even hotel breakfast buffet serves braised pork with rice. Love it especially when the savoury braised fatty meat disintegrate in ur mouth automatically and yet not oily at all. I also love the taiwan rice (similar to japanese pearl rice). 2 very famous restaurant known for their braised pork rice in Taipei city will be Formosa Chang (鬍鬚张) and Jin Feng (金峰鲁肉饭). Formosa Chang also have prepacked instant braised pork sauce which is suitable choice for souvenir. #jxeatstravel
Was prepared that there will be a long queue but to my surprise there was no queue during lunchtime on a weekday. the 2 level restaurant was filled with tourists including me😂. Had their signature Spicy braised beef noodle with soybean sauce (红烧牛肉面) and Minced meat with fried bean paste noodle (炸酱面) along with my favourite Oolong bubble milk tea from Tenren tea 😍
The serving was generous, thick slabs of Australian beef served. Not really spicy and broth was flavourful, heavy seasoning and i’m quite sure the noodles were handmade, similar to din tai fung’s, little sweet and chewy. However, it didn’t give me a wow factor. Decent bowl of beef noodle with good price value at only $9-$10 sgd. If i’m local, i will still return for sure. #jxeatstravel
I find almond abit smelly haha but still nice. #jxeatstravel
First visited this place 6 years back, until today it always have very long queue. it’s located at the 2nd floor of Hua Shan Market and once you exit the mrt station, you will see people rushing to the queue. The queue starts from the entrance, to the double flight of stairs and to the food court. Only Fu Hang Soya bean have queue, the other stalls are usually quiet. Also, Fu Hang closes at 12.30pm. I have been there at 7am and the queue was super long too lol so no difference in what time you go.
If you are dining there, their soy milk comes in big bowl where you use spoon to drink it super shiok. Another signature drink is their salted soy milk, very unique savoury taste that sg doesn’t have. I also love their egg crepe with You tiao. The crepe is thin and chewy, they also have Flat bread version which can get very dry as you eat as it thick and filling.
This place is definitely a place to go for breakfast and will not break your bank. Even locals love Fu Hang. Must visit. i wouldn’t say their You tiao or Soy milk is extraordinary but a good experience to eat like the locals ❤️ #jxeatstravel
for less than $30 sgd per pax, you get to enjoy Mala steamboat with free flow premium grade beef, pork, seafood, beer/wine, hagen daz and movenpick ice cream. Usually i visit the branch at ximending, which open till about 2am. This time i visited the new branch and its more premium at xinyi district. #jxeatstravel
