After hearing about Keisuke new outlet, I went to try it immediately. The Wagyu Sukiyaki Beef Don ($29.90) is delicious and my friend tried the US prime Beef ($13.90) and it’s equally delicious too. The wagyu is nice but it will burn a hole in your pocket.
Also the beef is not as much as all those media review pictures you have seen online. Most probably the serving portion is larger for media review but mine is the actual amount you get for a paying customer.
Overall, it’s nice but I will go for the $13.90 version as it is more value for money. (More slices compared to Wagyu)
A picture speaks a thousand word. Just look at the how dry and thin the tonkatsu is! It’s so hard to even chew on it. Price is not cheap too for such low quality food.
Nobody should ever step food into this place if they want a proper meal!
This is my go-to place for tendon always! Huge serving and cheap! The tempuras are always nicely done and not too oily.
Decided to visit this place due to all the hype and being a huge fan of tendon, any new shop selling tendon is a must try!
Verdict? They need to keep their oil clean....
Tendon is not golden brown but dark brown looking. The oil was soaking through the rice at the bottom and overall the whole dish tasted so greasy.
Egg is overcooked and some of the veggies doesn’t looked very fresh. Prawn and fish are tender and juicy though.
Overall, I think this place is overrated. Most probably will not come back for tendon again.
Came early on a friday evening and managed to get into the restaurant in less than 30mins!
The soup is so good and I love the lobster balls!
The Keisuke chain of restaurant never fails me!
Check out the thick and generous serving of salmon paired with cripsy thing (yeah I have no idea what it is called) that we loved in our yu sheng.
This one definitely wins some of the bara chirashi don out there.
This place is like a hidden gem. We only chanced upon it while looking for a place that isn’t packed during lunchtime on a Saturday.
This bowl is goodness is definitely value for money! Perfectly grilled wagyu with onsen egg and pink ginger foam. Highly recommended!
The unagi is a bit too salty in this case. Maybe they can put less sauce on it. Tempura is good though.
Love the cheese meatball! It is so juicy and the oozing cheese is superb! The tempura are not oily and done just nice.
However I find the original sauce a little salty. Maybe will try other sauce next time.
Value for money!
Tender chicken and udon done perfectly. Price is cheap but food taste normal only. Soup is a bit too salty to my liking.
