Kovan 209
50 years in the making. Old school of old school. Pig's tail, intestine, skin and yummy lard that is just salivating even from the thought of it. If you are imagining prawn noodles like Katong or Bras Basah, this is not for you. This stall is not commercial food. It is nostalgic food that transcends the good old days!!! A must visit stall. Yumminess: 4/5
Definitely worth the extra, the eggs totally coated the noodles and it packs of Wok Hei as well. .

$3.50. There was a queue at this Yam Mee Teochew Noodle stall so we decided to follow the crowd. Texture of the noodles was pretty good, but we didn't really think there was anything special about it. I liked the mushroom though, thicker than usual. The presence of pork lard would have been easily missed. Chilli was quite light.
One of the two famous Wanton Mee at Kovan Food Centre, affectionately known as 57. Their noodles are served with a spicy and sour chilli tomato sauce. The Char Siew is red and not charred, not my preferred kind, the soup and wanton taste peppery and flavored. It used to be my favorite stall but I found better ones. It is however unique in its own way and definitely worth a try.
$2.50 a plate unit no. 01-58 from morning till sold out . Gotta try !
