Lunch
Love Katanashi's lunch deals. For $12 you get a bowl of deliciousness and a nice view of boat quay. Negitoro was fresh and generous, and the spring onions add a nice bite when eaten together with the tuna.
Lunch set comes with soup and a steamed egg, which filled me up well!
The line is generally quite long but tables are cleared quickly.

What I really enjoy about this place is their variety but priced at 70-80 cents a piece, you can end up with an $8 bowl if you’re not careful. They also separately deep fry certain items but remember to ask to them to separate them unless you don’t mind it being thrown together in the soup.
Head down to Menya SANJI if you're looking to fill your stomach with ramen at affordable price. It's located conveniently at Circular Road just opposite Ocbc Centre.
A kagoshima style 🍜 house, their pork bone is simmered with vegetables for several hours to create its rich flavour. You can choose between thick or thin noodles, and you can also upsize your noodles at just $2. 🍜 SANJI Ramen - $11.50
🍜 Black Sesame - $10.50
🍜 Mazesoba - $10.80
🍜 Spicy Ramen - $11.00
Complete your meal with the free flow 🥚 on the table, or order sides such as Gyoza (5 for $6) or Deep Fried Chicken ($3.50). I highly recommend you to order the deep fried chicken! The chicken cutlet is tasty and juicy.
Thanks @julin_ho for the invitation and Shawn @menyasanjiboatquay for having us.
Feeling hungry while waiting for dinner and this bowl of goodness could very well satisfy our hunger pangs. Have a great dinner everyone!
Walked past numerous time but did not drop by till recently.
While set lunches are available on weekdays, on Saturday (Sunday they’re close) they serve Nasi Lemak in this manner. So pair your meal with side dishes like VNLB Beef Rendang ($6.80), VNLB Mutton Rendang, Golden Salted Egg Yolk Chix Mid Joints ($12) and Torched-Grilled Sotong ($14).
The soft, Pink Dot-esque salmon rests sleepily in a comforting, collagen-thick chicken broth. 3.9/5
This dish is currently only $9.90 as part of an introductory offer. Elsewhere, there's a 1-for-1 Chirashi promotion until 19 July 2018. Don't say bojio.
Kolo Mee ($7.90) fragrant QQ noodles with savoury minced meat and slices of char siew. Filling but slightly expensive for these.
Salmon Mentaiko Rice Bowl - made up of slices of salmon that were torched with a generous amount of mentaiko sauce, and a bed of truffle-infused Japanese rice.

We tried the all in one boat ($6.5), Rice Rolls with fried dough sticks ($6.5) and fresh prawn roll with egg. The all in one boat comes in a smaller portion than expected but is very thick in texture - much thicker than those I had in HK. Checked with colleagues who went last week and it could be the issue today only as it wasn’t like this before. However, there is a lot of ingredients included so quite filling for us.
The rice rolls with fried dough sticks is bigger than expected. The fried dough sticks is not crispy enough but not bad. The prawn roll with egg (and veg) is more on the sweeter side, probably due to the soya sauce. But i would say 3-4 people should share one rice roll. It is a bit too much for us. I had a taste of the HK milk tea that my colleague bought. It is too sweet for me and not authentic - they use jasmine tea rather than english breakfast tea I believe.
