Local Delights
This humble restaurant needs no introduction because of the amazing food and the crazy waiting time! You’ll need to 等 等 等,再等等,so don’t go when you’re really hungry. I’m not kidding on the queue and waiting time ya.
This place serves different menu on different days - Mon/Thurs: Ipoh Hor Fun & Lam Mee, Tues/Fri/Sat: Fish Head Noodles, Wed: Pork Noodles. Planning my next visit for the Ipoh Hor Fun 😋
Heard a lot of positive feedback about this place and we finally dropped by with the fam bam on a public holiday!
One basic set of banana leaf rice costs RM8.50 and it comes with free flow of rice, 4 or 5 types of vegetables, 3 types of curries and rassam. Eat all you can!
Vegetables such as beetroot, bitter gourd & sambal tofu etc were good but I think the curries can be better. We ordered a number of side dishes for sharing such as fried chicken, fried squid with onion, mutton masala & sambal prawn and all of them were excellent.
Most of the time we head to Jaipur, which is another underrated place stones away from Aunty Manju, for BLR but now we have more options! The prices might be on the high side but why not if you can get a superb hearty meal here!
New lunch menu by Secret Garden!
You have to try this! One of the best in Kepong!
This humble stall sits in a corner at the New Seaview coffee shop served clear pork broth with a generous amount of pork lards, pork slices, intestines & my favourite minced pork! Good for a quick breakfast or lunch ~ Simply irresistible! 🍲
💰: RM7.00
Both the soup and dry version were good but I prefer the soup one more! Portion is bigger than the usual prawn mee and the pork is not too lean.
P/s: i find that the dark soy sauce for the dry version is a lil sweet for me, maybe you can try to request for lesser dark soy sauce or opt for chilli instead.
💰:RM6:50 (small) RM7:00 (big)

Tomato soup based noodles are so yummy & flavourful 🤤 tried both the dry & soup noodles version but still prefer the latter. An ultimate comfort food on a rainy day!
💰: RM9.00
Wanton Mee with the melt-in-the-mouth premium CharSiew ~ who doesn’t love the well caramelised edges & the smoky charsiew sauce?🥢

Served with a generous amount of pork lard, minced pork, fried dried shrimp, spring onion and chilli!
💰:RM12.90++
This is not the traditional spicy soup pan mee but a more adventurous choice with spicy miso base broth with simple ingredients such as pork slices and bean sprouts.
It tasted similar to the Japanese ramen but you only pay half the price of the Japanese Ramen. It’s also a good tummy warmer during the rainy days!
