Oh my tian. Thank you to @misstamchiak who spent 45 min queuing for this plate, and shared her passion in doing the things she do. Blogging is a lot of hard work & patience.
Back to the carrot cake, I liked that there is this taste of real carrot within, which is hard to find becos many cakes now are supplied from factories. It has this light lard fragrance..... But I won't queue 45 min for this! Haha.
Oh yah, preferred the white to the black.
So here's one of the classic for this week! The authentic Satay Chicken Chop rice from Tanglin Halt Western Food @ Clementi 448 Food Centre!
The taste of the food was rather unique and it brings up the flavors of the food with the combination of the satay sauce! It's one of their signature you should try which you can't get anywhere else but here!
Generous portions of tender beef with each ribbons of hor fun bursting with smoky flavours of wok hei. They are one of the many stalls that accept NETS FlashPay which makes paying super convenient! š www.misstamchiak.com
5 munchies: Having grown up eating this dish, I'm glad nothing about the taste has changed even after more than two decades. It is still as fragrant with some crisp and charred bits, wet, and generous with eggs and chye poh (preserved radish). Be prepared to queue for at least 20 minutes, and they sell out by noon.
Fried Carrot Cake, #01-45
(#01-45) There's constantly a queue at this stall, I finally know why. Thank goodness I only had to queue for 10mins or so. Apparently they sell out really fast, heard a few people ask if they're still selling before they joined the queue. It's pretty good for its price at $3 (it actually has the carroty taste) and quite a generous portion! But ok I probably wouldn't bother queuing if it takes as long as what other people said (30-45mins???) This is the first time in 4 years I'm early enough with spare time to actually get to eat this. Good start to the end of my week yay. Update: I barely managed to finish the $3 plate. Maybe partly cos it's kinda greasy so I think it might be good to share HAHAHA.

While the taste isnāt extraordinary, its old-school flavour, slurp-worthy dark black sauce base and generous ingredients can woo customers back.
Many of the selected stalls accept FlashPay as a payment mode. That means there is no need to carry a bunch of cash and heavy coins in the wallet, as we can pay for our food with a simple tap.
