Fragrant and tasty, definitely a good side order!

You get your individual pots of soup here and you can select the levels of mala too! The medium level was just right - not overpoweringly numb or oily. Definitely could have gone for the highest level 😂 There was also an extremely wide variety of ingredients such as the assorted meat balls - we especially liked the one with the prawn paste inside! Plus point - free ice cream!!

I think I have been spoilt by the whole HDL experience.. wished that the meat slices could have been much bigger. We chose Level 2 for the mala soup (they had 3 levels if I’m not wrong) and couldn’t stop drinking it!

I was so excited when I got news that the steamboat at Roxy Square reopened at Tanjong Katong that I had to make a trip down asap.

Pleased to report that everything is still the same as I remembered! The tomyum is still one of the best soup bases that I’ve tried and that sweet dipping chilli! I had to take seconds. Service was also really good and attentive :)

This ala carte steamboat place is really underrated. We had a good variety of fresh and good quality ingredients to choose from. The food came really quickly also (just in time for us to do our flatlay photo 😂) Sauces and drinks are also free flow (one downside is that they should have more speciality sauces). Service was also attentive and refilled our drinks frequently. They also have entertainment in the form of the 'Face Changer'. Bill was also much cheaper than HDL! Definitely will be back!

Their chilli is pretty good here and so is their tomyum/chicken soup. They've even started having free ice cream and watermelon for the buffet option. Decent option if you're in the area and don't want to queue.
