Subtly sweet, with a fluffy (but slightly mushy) base, there are what you would look for in pancakes. The whole experience was exemplified w a laid back atmosphere to boot. However, the vanilla bean ice cream that we chose was pretty subpar, even though it still managed to carry a distinct flavour. Sadly, without anything spectacular to solidify a return, paddington's pancakes are unlikely to quantify another visit from me. Well, unless you're a major pancake fan. Then it will be likely that you'll be camping there.

180gms juicy all Angus beef patty with shredded mozarella, cheddar cheese wrapped in an omelette, lettuce, tomato, mayo, bbq sauce, fried onion rings with toasted buns. Super mouthful~ definitely worth it. #halal

Located on the ground floor of 321 Clementi, Kowloon Express is casual and laidback, like most Hong Kong inspired cha chan tengs, so feel free to rock up in shorts and flip flops. Our advice is to skip the heavy carbs like noodles and rice, and focus on the dim sum selection. You won't go wrong with classics like the Shrimp Har Kow ($4.20 for a basket of four), but make sure you save space for their buns. The Chilli Crab Pau ($4.50 for a basket of three) boasts a very tasty chilli crab filling, while the signature Charcoal Salted Egg Custard Pau (S$4.50 for a basket of three) is fluffy and holds a oozy centre of molten salted egg lava. Yum! Pro tip: Get 15% off your total bill when you visit between 2 to 5pm on weekdays.

Went to Andes by Astons yesterday and ordered their Crispy Fried Fish. This meal comes with two sides that customers can choose from. I chose mac & cheese and potato wedges. The fish was well-seasoned and fried to perfection. It was so crispy that with every bite of it, there would sure be crumps of it on my shirt. It came with some sour cream sauce for you to dip the fish in. I thought the combination of the fish and the sauce was great. The mac & cheese was alright. I didn't really prefer the cheese sauce because I thought it had a slightly weird taste. Not too cheesy for a cheese lover like me. It didn't make me feel too satiated like how you would normally feel if you eat something that is too cheesy or creamy. But the potato wedges was amazing! It was well-seasoned and didn't taste bland. Totally love the potato wedges and the fried fish. As for service wise, I thought it was fine and the people working there were quite friendly. Will definitely come back again, but this time to check out their selection of steaks!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

CNY's the perfect excuse to have prata when eating out (since most places are closed) and as I sink my fork into the paper thin crispy prata, I instantly salivate. On the table you see the special paper prata (left), egg onion mushroom prata (top, with curry) and red bean prata (bottom). The total bill came up to $11 for these 3 fancy prata, which all proved to be super yummy.

The biased red bean lover me went straight for the red bean prata. Great for sharing, do not have this alone. I managed to finish 90% alone... and felt slightly sick after. The paper prata is also something to have. I'd recommend the plain as it is slightly sweet already.

Spicy and juicy ! Love the deep fried with crispy skin and coated with spicy sauce! Must try !

Taking over Curry Garden, this Halal steamboat joint in Punggol Ranch is a great spot for family gatherings, especially for those of you living in the northeast! Go straight for the Steamboat Buffet ($22 on weekdays, $25 on weekends), which allows you free-flow access to fresh ingredients — we were particularly charmed by the selection of seafood like crayfish, plump prawns and dory fish, which were snapped up but also refilled very quickly. The steamboat pot comes with an attached grill, on which you can also cook a selection of marinated meats like black pepper beef and curry tandoori chicken. The buffet selection also includes a rojak station, along with fruit and brownies for dessert, but drinks are excluded. Expect to pay an average of $2 to $2.50 for a sweetened drink like bandung or iced lemon tea. It gets pretty warm too especially when it's crowded, so dress breezy. Pro tip: This place is packed on the weekends and they aren't always efficient with taking phone reservations. Save yourself the headache and come really early, or plan this for a weekday instead.

Awesome nasi lemak with giant squid.... Even though the place is pack, we manage to get a table fast & the food order came quite fast! Definitely will come back again!!

$12 (+ drink): Grilled cheese (spammed), roasted mushrooms, caramelised onions, white bread. Real deal.

Perfect for the cool rainy weather we had last Saturday exploring AMK, Rahim’s Chicken Drumstick Mee Soto ($5) was simply, lip-smackingly good. Served with a large chicken leg, the meat was tender though perhaps a tad bland on its own. However, the springy thick yellow noodles bathing in a bowl of warm, clear, spice-enhanced broth was just so comforting to slurp on. Savoury and pleasantly sweet, the soup was also not cloy despite the layer of oil (it’s what I call good oil) and didn’t feel all that sinful.

Should give the thai milk tea ice cream a try. Loved it.Those who has high sweet tooth tolerance should be fine to you😅But overall for this two desserts, might be a little too pricey.
