Priced at $108, the lunch menu set at Les Amis does present good value for anyone who wants to experience dining at a two Michelin starred restaurant. For this price you get two entrees, a main and a dessert. Special mention on the excellent service from the restaurant's staff.

Lobster mousse encased in baby spinach, served with fish bone sauce. Definitely a pretty dish which highlighted the finesse of the chef but was expecting a "wow" factor which sadly never came.

The above was good (crispy chicken with springy noodles in a tasty curry broth) but was blown away by the Curry Laksa Yong Tau Foo ($4/$5) instead. The laksa gravy could give any famous laksa stall a run for its money.

Now I know why I saw more people ordering the laksa YTF instead of the curry noodles!

My new favourite dish at Esquina. Believe it or not but the dish that I will recommend people to come Esquina for will be a plate of grilled lettuce! The creaminess of the herb yogurt and the sharpness of the vinegar glaze cuts through the charred lettuce in a way unimaginable!

The use of herbs and 花雕酒 creates a broth that is both thick and flavourful. The owner claims that there is no use of MSG at all as well.

You can choose to add on ingredients like pig liver and intestines. These were fresh and the servings were generous. If you have some more stomach space, would also recommend the prawn bak kut teh (yes prawn!) which is special and unique.

Highly recommend this place!

They have two options for omakase one priced at $68 and the other at $98 with the main difference being the inclusion of uni for the latter. Have tried both and advice would be to stick with the cheaper option!

This was so good that I came back after less than one week. At 1/5 the price of those fancy sushi restaurants in Singapore, I would highly recommend this for the great value!

P.S. Prices are nett and no GST and service charge is charged even!

Juicy hand made beer patty chargrilled to perfection and sandwiched between a glistering brioche bun. Be sure to add on the cheese as that's what makes the difference.

Side of wedges was a massive disappointment though. Would consider having it changed to another side the next time I have this.

Lido Group which boasts one Michelin starred Braci among its restaurant, Amo comes highly recommended to me by my friends.

The signature bone marrow pizza is one of the most memorable pizzas I have had. Every slice is coated with decadent bone marrow and paired with the wild garlic pesto and anchovy salsa verde. Each pizza serving comes in six slices so they are perfect as a sharing main.

Would definitely come back just for their pizzas. The other mains though decent aren't spectacular when compared to the above!

P.S. If you love fries like me you must try their hand cut fries with rosemary and mushroom ketchup!
