So good!!!! Every element of this dish was so good and the highlight would definitely have to be the pork cheek. It was the softest piece of pork I have ever had that really just melted in my mouth and the favour was so good!!! Really enjoyed the soup and the egg as well that we ordered some extra eggs to go around. We ordered some Cha Shu and Gyozas on the side as well but personally I felt that the main dish was so good that the sides didn’t impress me as much (they were really not bad though!!). Price wise - pretty decent and normal for ramen. The main dish itself was $13.90 before GST and service charge.
I have to honestly say that I wasn't very impressed by this dish. When I saw cold ramen on the menu, I had the expectation that my food would be ice cold, like how cold soba usually is. However, on the first bite I was slightly put off because my food was closer to room temperature than ice cold. Even though the sashimi, cucumber and eggs etc were nice and fresh, I couldn't help but wish it was at least a little bit colder!! It was my first time eating cold ramen so i'm not so sure what the ideal temperature of cold ramen usually is but I felt that the change in temperature of the dish would level it up so much!
I haven't had much Japanese curry so I'm not sure how this fares compared to other Japanese curries but I was very satisfied by this plate, especially when eaten hot. We ordered level 2 spiciness which was just nice to feel a kick although the effect of the spiciness does not come immediately but rather progressively as you eat more. Other than that, the standard portion of the curry and the rice is very proportionate, though you have the option of selecting more curry/rice at an added cost.
Probably the best ramen I've had in Singapore so far. Broth was very rich and flavourful and the noodles were well done. My favourite part of the dish was the flavoured ramen egg, along with the free flow of hard boiled eggs and bean sprouts!
Service was excellent as the service staff explained the difference between the Four Seasons ramen to us before we placed our order and ordering is convenient as it is done on a piece of paper where options such as "less oil" is offered. The price before GST/ service tax was $14.90 but worth it in my opinion, especially for the very filling amount!
