Very cute restaurant!! Love it.

Pompompurin is a golden retriever born on 16 April. The cafe in Singapore is ready for operation for its birthday and the official opening is on 18 April (Monday) at Orchard Central, #04-08.

Like the usual characters cafe, gotta have reasonable expectations for the food but no doubt they are so instagrammable!

Undeniably cute with fresh bananas, custard and caramel. However, pancakes were on the stiffer side :(

For fans of the Pompompurin character from Sanrio, you need not fly to Japan anymore to experience the kawaii-ness as its now conveniently located at Orchard Central.

The Bagel’s Special Pancake Tower for dessert, which includes a Pompompurin take-home souvenir mug. This is a decadent dessert with five layers of pancakes filled with various sauces such as caramel, chocolate, custard and more.

I guess this started a wave of cuteness in Singapore over this chubby golden retriever which I always thought was called 布丁狗 (pudding dog) cause it really looks more like a pudding to me 🙊 More for its aesthetics than for its taste, please lower your expectation in the taste department.

A very cute cafe that serve instagramable food. Nice ambiance, cute plating, lovely drinks... Is a place where you can take lots of photos to share with your friends. Unfortunately the food is not good and over priced. It will not satisfy your taste bud.

While it remains true that I genuinely felt that all the plus factors were tad wasted to be diminished by lower-than-average service (despite off-peak hours) & taste (real jelat - Singlish for when you have a particular food/drink & get sick of it). It wasn't entirely a regretful experience for a one-time chase for a fabulous fad.
Take the ratio of rice:meat here for example; it wouldn't otherwise make sense to not stay this way for an adorable food presentation. Though that'll always make wonder if there will ever be themed food that tastes legit good, need to make a trip to Japan 😂 Anyway, truth said, it was still an enjoyable after-exam celebratory lunch, but we're wise enough to know better about returning (unless they start serving the high tea set).
For those of you who've yet to try but planning to go, I'd recommend that you guys just go with an open-mind & remember "no expectations, no disappointments." 🙆🏻

Cafe's decor is super cute to the max, alot of efforts placed on the plating of each dish ordered. For an experience, its definitely worth the price, however its rather costly for the one time experience. Nonetheless, worth it!
