If you are in Ipoh, you must give JJRoll a visit. It is a bakery which specialises and sells ....*drumroll*...yes you got it - Swiss Roll!! There is a huge variety of flavours to choose from such as Dragon Fruit, Orange Tango, Kiwi, Chocolate, Fresh Durian, Cempedak, Cream Cheese, and many more. You will have a field day picking your box. I suggest getting the mixed box if you can’t make up your mind. The Swiss Rolls are pillowy soft and airy. Do eat them as soon as you can for there is no preservatives added. Note: The flavours of these rolls are made with natural ingredients hence you will notice they are less sweet and has a milder taste compared its counterparts.

Round and fat cream puffs stuffed to the brim with a traditional vanilla cream filling or you can opt for the matcha filling for something more exciting. The pastry is light, airy and tender. The fillings oozes out immediately as soon as you take the first bite. It is best eaten chilled so don’t spent too long taking pics of it. The texture of the cream is like soft serve. It wont make you feel Jelak and you can definitely go back for seconds. Famed for their delicious cakes, I don’t think I need to go on about it as it looks as good as it taste.

If you are a durian lover, you will love their ‘D24 Durian Snow Ice’. The snow ice for this has a much thicker and creamier consistency. I am assuming this is due to their generous amount of durian flesh in it.

Another item worth mentioning is their 'signature mango' from their sago series. Fresh mango sago pamelo soup is served cold with a dollop of rich mango ice cream, garnished with fresh cuts of mango flesh. This dessert is very refreshing and it serves as a good palate cleanser after having something heavy like the ‘Durian Snow Ice’.

The generous nutty toppings and the glistening surface as it sits on the display warmer have already won my heart. The cake is moist and soft with a strong whiff of coffee aroma. If you like sweets with a cup of coffee, then this cake is for you. RM12

The waffle here is well-made. The exterior of the waffle is crispy golden brown while the inside gives a nice chewy bite. Its pockets hold a nice amount of ice-cream that fills your mouth at every bite. Sweet and Savory. So indulgent!

Inside scoop's 'Rum and Raisin' is to die for. The rum has already leach itself into the ice cream. So every time you plant a scoop into your mouth, you will be invited with a burst of intense booze. Very generous with their spiked rum and juicy plump raisins, this dessert will surely bring out the drunk pirate in you.
