Difference from Singapore version, Malaysia BKT is actually herbal and not peppery taste. This is always my first stop whenever I cross the causeway. You will always be greeted with that familiar burnt smell as you approach the shop. Shoon Huat actually cooked their dishes using charcoal, which I personally prefer.
•
Their BKT always has the Umami flavour, but it is not too strong to mask the sweetness of the pork. The pork would easily fall off from the ribs and still remain tender. Order a bowl of You Tiao (dough fritters) and soak it into the soup, the rest I will leave it to your imagination.
•
Sometimes we could not determine, which to order the pig trotters or sesame chicken. The chicken is well soaked and cooked in the broth while still retains it's tenderness. Surprisingly, I would prefer to drizzle the sauce rather than the BKT on my rice.
•
Even though my last visit was not a fulfilling one. (maybe the Uncle not there) but I will still come back here again.

It's been 4 years since I last tried Arashi? Plus, every single shop we went to, they ran out of their mains ( steak house no steak, wth). Arashi has 9 different personal pot to choose from. The spicy milk broth like similar to our local laksa. Not too spicy in fact it works well with rice. •
Arashi has a simple condiment bar, where you can choose from 7 different sauces. Unsure what sauces you want to mixed? Fear not, they have prepared "master sauce" (Thai Chili sauce, Wafu Goma Sauce, Arashi Special Sauce, Taiwan Satay Sauce & Hong Kong Sauce.). If you want it spicier, add a few more drops of Arashi Special Sauce.

Pretty similar varieties from our local stores. The pork belly was fresh but a bit too thin. After cooking with the broth, it was slightly sweet and tangy (my spicy broth). Each set is also packed with their standard items and treasure set (wrapped minced meat).
•
Overall, I would say with Arashi quality food and service, it save my day. •
