Seafood Restaurants

To seafood hunters!! If you're looking for delicious seafood cuisine when you stay in Batam for a long time, you must visit this one of hidden gems which is located in Tanjung Piayu Laut, Batam (you can see sea view from this place, mangrove along the road on your left before enter this place) and I'm sure you won't be regret! (Unless you don't like seafood). To reach this place, you can ride or rent 4 wheels vehicle because it takes long ride about 30-45 minutes from city centre and if you choose 2 wheels vehicle, you may get really exhausted. But that's your options that you can choose, everything is fine as long as you enjoy your trip no matter how hard you find this place. Actually, when you are visiting Tanjung Piayu Laut, you will find some of seafood restaurants. But this well-known restaurant has more customers because of the price is reasonable and the taste is absolutely délicieux. About the cuisine, you can choose what do you want to eat and they serve the foods in kg (kilograms) or gr (grams), not per plate. I mean, when you order one menu, they will ask how much you want in one plate and that's up to you. If you still hesitate to order, I suggest you to order the menu under 1 kg therefore you can try another menus. Beside that, you can anticipate the high cost you will pay for the food. As a reference, you can see on my picture at the top are fried cuttlefish (sotong goreng tepung), and crab with spicy sauce (kepiting masak saos). At the bottom are stir-fried baby kailan with fried anchovy (baby kailan tumis), spicy and sour rabbitfish (ikan lebam asam pedas), and shrimp in butter sauce (udang masak mentega). For these 5 menus, only cost Rp 300.000-400.000 (I'm forget the exactly price) or $30-$40, include 6 portions of rice. Even when we eat, the foods still excessive. The foods are cooked by local people indeed (not 5 stars hotel chef) but the taste is really really good, also rich of natural herb and spices.
