Sooooo fluffy and sooooo fun to break into pieces to eat. I have to get a few of these every time I'm in the vicinity because they are so darn delicious. If you like salty piah, and you also love bread - you will love this! The filling taste exactly the same to the kind you will get in salty piah, and they are pretty generous with it. Each bread comes with 6 perfectly separated portions to pop into your mouth easily. And since most of it come hot out of the oven, you won't be able to resist just taking a pop of one straight after purchase. There's usually a queue and people buy a couple of breads at one shot, since it's so cheap and so good.
Was expecting this to be mind-blowingly good but sadly I'm pretty disappointed with this. The bread was fluffy and soft, but it was the same texture as the soft fluffy bread you can get from those really good neighbourhood bakeries. Sad to say I really don't get the hype. The matcha taste was just distinct enough to make a statement, but it didn't pack any exciting punch I was hoping for. The limited edition Acacia Honey flavour was really good though, even though it came at a much steeper price of $4 dollars. Wouldn't mind eating this again, but I probably wouldn't queue for it or travel all the way just to grab one bun. Guess I'd have to stick to my reliable $1 dollar bakery bread la haha.
Who loves avocadoes 🥑?! 🙋🏻 Was so intrigued by this flavour that I had to get it. Although this tasted more of cream than avocado, it was still really enjoyable and an interesting take on the regular kaya toast. Their use of a healthier multigrain toast also helped to give extra crunch to the kaya toast. (and if you know me, you know how much I like crunch!!!) On a side note, I am incredibly happy to see young hawker entrepreneurs in Singapore, maintaining our Hawker heritage and being daring to experiment with new flavours to suit our ever evolving taste buds and palates. Be sure to get one of their coffee flavours like Sea Salt Caramel before leaving!
Not too sweet fillings of red bean, with the mashed red beans having a gritty (in a good way) feel. Makes me feel much better than eating one of those way too processed baos. But my favourite bao here so far is still yam!
The natural ingredients used to make this pau made the skin taste naturally mildly sweet, and allowed the sweet potato taste to really shine through. Love how affordable this place is! Wished they gave a bigger piece of walnut tho, the piece on my bun was so, so tiny.
I can't tell if this has any added food colouring, it's really vibrant 😱 but nonetheless I really like the red bean filling and how soft and pillowy this bread is. The only problem is how quickly I finish one loaf. I kid you not - half down in 10 mins. Soft bread just has that effect on me.
I love sesame flavoured things and the prospect of eating crunchy filling contrasted to soft fluffy bread made me jump for joy. Pretty pricey compared to most bread places, and the sesame layer actually wasn't very thick either :( still nice but I wish there was more filling!! (The filling looks like a lot but it's only because the black sesame stained the bread.)
Cinnamon coated and simply oozing, this is a really nice bun. Would get my fingers all dirty just for this. Sadly service here is very mediocre, but the ambience is seriously good.
Not too sweet, and quite generously stuffed! Would recommend to anyone who likes chestnut, since it's quite rare to see chestnut bread, right?
Bits and pieces of sweet potato stuffed in a cocoa powder covered mini bun for an ashy touch. Not sweet, which was what I liked about it! Quite pricey compared to other bakeries, but for their large loaves, they provide generous and free samplings!
Yes it was soaked in Yuzu, which made me very pleased and happy. Sadly, too overpriced.
Fragrantly toasted and lots of cinnamon powder, but honestly would I pay 9+ for this again? Nope, since I would rather pay money for my own bread.

Huge sweet-tooth, and yes - I do attempt to eat dessert for every meal.
