Small Treats For The Sweet-Tooth
Look. At. The. Generous. Fillings! 😍 These reminded me of Hong Kong styled 老婆饼 (Wife Cake) but with a heap ton of filling and so much more flavours. Also the skin was much more chewy than flaky, though I really enjoyed the interesting textures. I absolutely loved the yam/taro/orh nee flavour, because it really tasted like a real orh nee bowl, and it even had ONE ☝️ ginkgo nut hidden inside which was so chewy and added a different texture to the soft pies. I also loved the black sesame pie, which wasn't too sweet but had a distinct and robust black sesame flavour to it. The only one that was too sweet for me was custard - but I'll think it'll be a really good flavour to feed any kid - as my inner child was really pleased with how sugary it was. Get your hands on them fast, as they have a lot of other interesting flavours that are sold out pretty fast, like Thai milk tea, Sweet Potato and Green Tea.
Lime tarts may be simple, but they are forever still one of my favourite flavours! This one ticked all the right boxes, being zesty and not overly sweet, having a good biscuit base that didn't crumble too easily and held the curd well without being soggy either! Better than your average lime tart - but the best part was how well they made the meringue/cream - so smooth and so silky!
Pictures and words do not do this dessert any justice at all. This is beyond words unbelievable - but also a huge sweet bomb. Moist, fluffy, delicious, this was so nice to dig into. It was so so so soft, almost sponge like, soaking up all the lovely caramel. Digging into it, and finding bits of dates hidden here there everywhere was also an absolute delight. (They do not skimp on true dates!) Hands down my favourite dish here. Be right back as I dream of this tonight.
I never edit my photos - so everything is just with natural lighting! Pictured here is their lemon bar, which is much more manageable to eat than their lemon meringue (since the lemon meringue can get really sweet and cloying after awhile) and also a whole lot cheaper. Wished there was a more hard graham cracker crust tho!
When a donut and a croissant made a baby together :') I bought 2 cronuts home, so I could eat one and gift the other hehe. Too sweet for my liking tho, but I really love flaky pastry. My fav cronut is still from Dominique Ansel in New York tho!
I usually go order their cakes (because they're cakes are seriously consistent in quality) but when I ordered this tart it didn't disappoint either! Crumbly and delicious, while not being overly cloying or sweet I would definitely order this again!
Love the crumble but then again I have never eaten crumble I didn't like (unless it was too soggy) Beneath the thin layer of crumble - yes I wish there was more crumble - was well-sliced pieces of apple drenched in sugary sauce.
Finally got my hands on this after only being able to get the regular cheese tart last time! I left this at room temperature after walking home in the rain for 3 hours and when I ate it w/o toasting the salted yolk still flowed! Felt there was too much crust to filling ratio, but still a pretty good bang for your buck! Had this with banana milk because I have an obsession with anything bananas 🍌 since forever.
Finally got to try the cheese tart (really wanted the salted egg one but this was literally the last one they had) The cheese tart wasn't overly cheesy or sweet, but had a wobbly, custardy texture and was slightly melt-in-your mouth. Worth a try - and I wouldn't mind coming back for the salted egg!
Bought this for a friends birthday last week! :) meringue like thing which lots of people told me was delish, but then again they were incredibly famished in school, which could explain why. Goodbye Monday Blues, thanks to how pretty this is!
Fudgy vegan brownies! I'm not a cakey brownie fan, so this was so perfect. Not an extremely crisp exterior but substantial, but the core of this is amazingly soft and chocolatey. Ate this really quickly and got a very bad sugar rush tho hahaha. Still totally worth it! Service here was fantastic as well, props to the male cashier who took my order, being friendly and nice and even specifically picking out the largest brownie for me!
Citrus makes me so so so happy. I loved the lemon tart, which was more custardy than the regular tart, and had a lovely crumbly shell. This was my favourite dessert of the two! The Yuzu was also extremely tantalising and yummy, and as a non-mousse fan, I give it a huge thumbs up. (The Yuzu was my other friend's favourite.) The staff told us his favourite was the carrot cake, which looks absolutely delish, and is next on my MUST ORDER list!

Huge sweet-tooth, and yes - I do attempt to eat dessert for every meal.
