It's that time of the year we poor students get super busy again. Save me?
While both the ice cream flavours & taste remind me of the ones we can easily get from our local mobile ice cream vendors or those giant Mangnolia/King's tubs from supermarkets, I give my stars to their perfect outer layer crust with fragrant buttery aroma. After all this was just a few dollars mark up from our childhood guilty pleasure. & Best of all? Taking a shot against their LED display here can help me fool my gullible friends that I'm in Japan.
Thai Milk Tea & Coconut Soft Serve ($3.90/Reg)
Brought the girls out to enjoy some smooth & creamy cold treat to beat the scorching summer heat! These babies do melt really quickly though, prepare to chop chop with your camera & enjoy them asap! The regular size allows you to get a crunchy & chewy topping of your choice. As for recommendations, most of my friends prefer their Thai milk tea flavour, but I'm gonna be honest about being bias because I personally love coconut everything 💕

Love the Charcoal Yoghurt Softserve base with right amount of sweet and tartness (from $2.90 onwards, depending on the amount of toppings and sauce).I had their Signature Pistachio ($6.90) which includes their lovely Pistachio sauce (thick and nutty) but sadly isn't too aesthetically good on camera.
Ordered the kooks signature ($8.50) which includes a chocolate molten cookie and a single scoop ice cream. The yummy cookie is rich in buttery taste and incredibly tasty when served warm. Chose the pistachio icecream which tasted pretty average. Will definitely come back again for more cookies~~~ xoxo, wet tissue no have
Dessert was good and so was the cake. It's yuzu, my fav anyway. This is all for the 15th anniversary of the Sanrio character - Cinnamoroll. Come try it before the pop up cafe ends its run. #burpple #tingzieeats
Go fancy with either the Thai Milk Tea Waffles or Kinder Bueno Waffles or keep it simple with the Classic Waffles and choose from Earl Grey, Honeycomb Toffee, Triple Choc & Vanilla Bean ice-cream 🍦the best way to spend TGIF! 🙌
So the geniuses at @hvalawafflebar have turned my favourite chocolate bar into the inspiration for their new limited edition soft serve – AND I LOVE IT.
The ice cream is tinged with chocolate malt powder to give it colour and a richer taste, but it's its marriage with generous layers of salted caramel, chopped nuts and chocolate sauce that make it taste uncannily like a frozen Snickers bar, only creamier. It's so good on its own, and ten times better with Hvala's signature puffy waffle – dripping with even more sauces and nuts – in attendance.
This beats any new-fangled eggette in Hong Kong, for sure.
I'm so glad I'm no longer the sole instigator when it comes to Janice Wong mochis! Finally it was @veronicaphua who reminded me we should grab some of these cream filled clouds after our tasting yesterday… so sixth stop—I inhaled 3 of these plump beauties by myself as everyone gave their shocked expressions and reminders of the dangers of whipped cream. 😅 I'm beyond salvageable when it comes to these desserts. Mango is still my favourite flavour, followed by Popcorn.
Plus I think I'll have to make a visit again soon as I saw they now serve ICE CREAM!!! 😋

The Deli packs all sandwiches to-go.
Food:
1) PB&J Sandwich [$8.00]
"I was sent to Cloud 9 immediately." (Tay, 2015)
Oozing in peanut butter, lathered with chocolate & jelly, and crusted with heaps of cornflakes, my only gripe is my personal peanut dislike. Sub it out with hazelnut, pistachio or macadamia, and I'd probably love it as well.
2) Cheese Steak [$16.00]
At first, we were hesitant to drop $16 on a sandwich. But it's TOTALLY worth it.
PBD describes it as "sliced beef many many", and it's not a superlative. The sub looks almost made by a child; overstuffed with as many well-marinated, tender beef slices as the bread can carry, broiled in molten cheese, and doing away with any green formalities. Caramelized onions will be the only accepted vegetable here.
There was so much beef, lumps kept falling out of my sandwich and the thing still looked full. That's how much meat you're getting; when you lose meat to the floor and you ain't even mad.
I even remember just sitting in silence, working through a substantial half of the sandwich and going, "This is great."
The place literally overlooks Amoy Street Food Centre, but if you're feeling rich & in the mood for a quick Western bite, definitely check out Park Bench Deli.
Come Here: Again.
