The mango lime was happily diverting, but the sparsely-populated charcoal waffle needed some nourishment which its (in one instance, ostentatiously monikered) inhabitants were helpless to do much about. 3.6/5

The waffles here have improved quite a bit! Much better 'eggier' flavour as compared to the bland one I had a while back. The salted caramel was a bit too salty but the nice burnt flavour was there. Overall quite enjoyed it. Don't get the vanilla, it's so full of extract you'll wonder if you are at a fast food chain. And you'll remember how much you paid, then maybe not.

Ice cream standard like drop a bit, not as creamy or rich. Waffles still pretty alright.

Charcoal with salted gula Melaka- and Thai milk tea! A good choice of breaks when the brain need some food

TG Waffles vs Charcoal Waffles. Hard to decide which one? Save yourself headache by going for Yuan Yang Waffles which is a specialty at this second outlet. The freshly baked waffles are interestingly divided between charcoal and classic Belgium batter topped with a generous scoop of homemade milk soft serve, decorated by flavoured cookies sticks. Bonus part is the pot of nutella sauce, that you can drizzle over the waffles/ do your Instagram shot!!

It's a total novelty (cause these don't taste chocolatey at all; which btw is what red velvet should taste of), which tasted better than I thought it would! Oblong's waffles aren't your super crisp on the outside ones, rather just fluffy and soft. The two slices of red velvet waffles came with a pleasant cream cheese sauce slathered between. Topped with an amazingly fragrant and exaggerated earl grey lavender ice cream, it makes one of the better ice cream waffle combos I've tried.

Essentially bitter dark chocolate ice cream with a margarine-esque drizzle and bready waffles that lack the original signature snowflakes waffles’ killer spiky crisp – the red velvet aspect of affairs here is, like the scarlet wigs donned by Britney Spears and Taylor Swift in their high concept revenge videos, just part of an escapist fantasy. 3.4/5

Besides their wonderful Shibuya toasts, Meet & Melt does surprisingly amazing waffles. The waffles are wonderfully crisp on the outside, fluffy and moist on the inside. We topped our charcoal waffle with a scoop of salted egg ice cream and some salted egg sauce - talk about an overdose. The flavours are intense, rich, and the most authentic I've tried. It really is the dessert embodiment of salted egg yolk, and not some watered down/overly sweet or salty flavour. The flavours are amazing, but consider sharing cause it can get a tad overwhelming.

I loved the ice creams because they were tea infused and the tea flavour was rather strong and to my liking 😍 Waffle was alright, quite fluffy but I've eaten better waffles eslewhere.

Now the highlight - Salted Egg Yolk sauce. It tasted good on its own but it doesn't complement the Waffle & Ice Creams I feel. Something is just.... off. Doesn't help that the sauce itself looks quite gross when poured out 🙊

Maybe it's just me but I just don't think salty and sweet go well together. Would come back for the ice creams and maybe try their waffle with froyo ☺️

Love how they made the waffles thick and crisp (reminds me of the taste in A&Ws when I was a kid). Legit pistachio flavored too. Even if you don't want any ice cream, just the waffle alone with honey is lovely. Customer Service: Great! Initially their machine for a flavor wasn't working and we couldn't get our first order.. But as soon as the machine was up, we were served one cup of it awww. Last thing: love the way Sunday Folks look into details such as placing a biscuit just below the ice cream, so to not let the melted ice cream ruin the waffle. Great effort there Folks!
