Had the Nashville hot 🐔 and buttermilk fried 🐔 ! Both chicken were well marinated, and tender even though they were thoroughly deep fried. Preferred the hot chicken over the normal one as it has a nice kick to it.
However, the real stars of the night were the Mac n cheese and biscuit with gravy. The Mac n cheese was done just right with a good amount of cheese and cream that did not end up being too jelat! The biscuit was rich and 'fluffy' which was complemented very well by the savoury gravy.
The promotion ends at 31 April, so better hurry up!
Not sure what's the hype about the fries. The combination of hoisin sauce, mayo and chili was just too weird and sickening for me.
The wings were pretty legit though, but was let down by it being slightly too sweet.
The place has a nice vibe to it, but probably won't come back for the food
Had the medium set @ 9.90, which came with 2 mains ( I chose chicken and whiffle-egg white waffle with cheese, mushroom and spinach), one side (roasted pumpkin) and 2 toppings (corn and broccoli) taste was average, but waiting time was quite long (20 minutes) as they had to manually blowtorch each serving of chicken/fish/steak.
Had the scrambled eggs on toast ($10 for just toast and eggs) with the savoury French toast. The French toast ($15) was a winner with a great combination of flavours, the sweet and slightly salty French toast, paired with back bacon, and a poached apple which provided a good tang to neutralise the richness of it.
The scrambled eggs were extremely smooth and creamy, which went well with the thickly buttered toast.
The wicked mocha was a unique drink which is worth a try! The place however is a bit dark and grungy for brunch though
Popcorn chicken was flavourful and went well with the chili mayo. Fries however were soggy, but pairing it with kimchi and steak was a great ide. They also have a decent selection of craft beers!
PS: left my phone behind and the owner kept it for me!
Had the waffle with vanilla bean ice cream and berry compote. The subtle vanilla ice cream went well with the crispy waffle. Only complaint I have is that I didn't expect the compote to be so sour, which completely overpowered the ice cream and waffle
Amazing pork belly! The pork belly was cooked until the fat would just melt in your mouth, and the skin was seared to perfection where it's crispy without being overly dry or hard to bite. Definitely recommended!
