Soulful Comfort Food
I recently had a fantastic plate of fried oysters in Penang and wished that I could find an equal in Singapore that matched up. Well guess what? This is it. The oysters are plump and fresh and the eggs are fried with crispy bit. Very flavourful and so addictive we packed home some for breakfast the next morning!
Very different from the Canadian style Poutine. But tasty nonetheless and topped with a fried egg.
Perfect char, super tasty and best of all it comes specked with bacon pieces over mash. Delicious to the last bite
Really liked that this had texture. Definitely not of Campbell quality! So my umami in a bowl.
Given that it's a fusion version, I didn't have high hopes until I took a mouthful. It had fries in it too. And it was a good combi.
This amazing halal cafe, packs a spicy punch. These wings are doused in thick kecap manis and sprinkled liberally with chilli. Super sedap!
Slow braised 15 hour beef brisket. So tender. So freaking delicious! What a secret find.
No hype, just a damn good burger with an equally fantastic sauce. Must try.
First time savouring baked Camembert. I liked it a lot. Had to stop myself from ordering more.
So I love my pork. So freaking much. And chicharon I love even more because it has a crunchy finish - my fav texture! The chilli chinchalok sauce was a great match. Nicely spiced! And of course this is perfect with beer.

Enjoyable tacos at a kopitiam. Powerful stuff. $6 for two. Sure beats the restaurant prices.

French gastronome Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin wrote that “the discovery of a new dish does more for human happiness than the discovery of a new star.” I concur. I hunger, therefore I am.
