Can't resist yam related dishes and desserts.
The yam filling tasted alright, not too sweet and has light fragrant of yam. The sponge cake was little disappointing, the exposed area of the cake tasted dry.
Well, that doesn't stop me from trying other items on the menu and cake counter.
Ambience wise is good for all. A good location amongst the greenery to chill and relax, away from the bustling city. Take some time to admire the good old days items on display at the restaurant too.
Vanilla ice cream drizzled with strawberry sauce, elderflower jelly, strawberry, pomegranate and pistachio crumbs.
Tasted light and refreshing, especially the elderflower jelly.
Got to be back to try the different selection of food available on the menu.
Buttermilk waffle topped with seasalt caramel ice cream, berries, drizzled with gula meleka and sprinkled with almond flakes and grated coconut.
Can't really taste gula melaka, the sea salt caramel was a bit overpowering. Overall, it was a nice dessert to end off a meal.
One of the plus point is the service staffs are very friendly.
Trying to make myself feels better with this dessert option, fresh avocado tart! An avocado fan got to try this!
Plenty of dessert to dive into next.
Spoilt for selection of dutch pancake! A light and eggy base topped w matcha mont blanc.
A good size for sharing.
Sweet indulgence!
A lovely lemon tart and it has chai seed which makes it to be smething different from the usual. The taste is just nice and good to pair off with a cup of tea.
Worth to return for some coffee and sandwich.
Looks classic isn't it? Cakes from Patisserie Glace has never disappoint me.
This cake is a combination of souffle layered in between strawberry shortcake. The fruits used to decorate the cake is fresh and inside the cake you find fresh strawberries too! It's not thinly sliced nor bits of it. It's actually halved strawberry in it.
Seems creamy but the cream is light. Not too rich in taste/ texture.
Pre-order for 15 persons at $90 + $2 for chocolate wording and discount of $3. At $89, it is pricey but it comes with quality assured.
Worth to check out its variations of cakes available.
Sweet treat for the festive season... Manjari Dark Chocolate Mousse Log Cake with Apricot Spices and Chocolate Muffin Sponge.
The log cake looks simple, elegant and the best part is ... the whole cake is edible! It doesn't have plastic or sugar figurines which can be quite a hassle during portioning.
Not too sweet with a tangy taste of spices and mini chocolate balls within that gives it a good crunch.
Overall, happy with my purchase!
Assorted cheesecake from Cat and the Fiddle, alcoholic version. Best for gathering where you get to taste a bit of everything! Not too thick and creamy in texture. Comes in the following flavours...
1. Tangy Yuzu
2. Yuan Yang
3. Lychee Martini
4. Pina Colada
5. Oreo Cookies
6. Strawberry
7. Classic NY
8. Salted Caramel
9. Mango Vodka
10. Tiramisu
Can't taste the alcohol though but it is still good! The down side is, on the pricier scale.
Chanced upon it while walking along Keong Siak. Decided to go for it because of the lovely presentation of the bingsu. Apart from bingsu they do serve sandwich, cakes, pudding and assortment of beverages. They sells accessories too.
Had a mini pot bingsu which is not so mini. That is good for 2 to share. Loves the combination taste of the red bean, ice cream, nuts and shaved ice.
Interior design is bright with the see through roof top at the back of the cafe. Nice to sit back and relax too. Worth to return again.
It's always good to start off with the classic toast instead of fanciful ones.
It is my first time trying toast. Not sure how toast taste like at other places. Overall, it tasted good.
Will be back for it selection of Mentaiko dishes.
