Chiang Mai 2015
The customer flow was constant which ensure the food quality. Soul healing food!
I won't recommend the dim sum as they were over steamed.

Especially you like exotic taste.
Serving up northern Thai dishes. Unlike the sour and spicy Thai food, northern Thai food is mostly SPICY.
One of my favorite dish will be their braised pork in soy bean sauce. After long hours of braising, the lard and soy sauce combined together and formed this beautiful golden gravy. Bit of meat bit of sauce bit rice created a heavenly bite.

All started because some tourist suggested that the lady boss looked like the famous Chinese singer, Feng Fei Fei. Thus the boss dressed up with her big hat to attract more crowd. Obviously "the big hat" did its magic as the stall is flooded with tourist and locals. Thank God that their food was still good. Located just outside of the Chiang Mai old town along Main Street. .

Soft braised pork knuckle and fatty intestine were my favorites. The long hours of braising allowed the nature gelatin slowly released into the gravy. Whenever you find "jelat", just take of chilli and garlic to refresh the palate. This table of food only costed 150 THB. Must eat but just beware there is a very long Q. .

Another very interesting stall close to the famous pork knuckle stall. Choose your type of meat - chicken, pork and seafood and between soup or dry. One lady will pick the ingredients and another will helm the wok. Stir fried all the ingredients and infused the broth with wok hei. Less than 5min (if no Q), faster than fast food. You would end up with this heavenly glass noodle like no others. .

Every dish on this table could be describe by two words - comfort and spicy. Every bite let me to a sweaty path and downing my "favorite" cold drink to ease the burning tongue. .

A canteen style restaurant with more than 100 seating and average price for a dish was less than 60THB. .

For those who hate dry breast chicken meat, this stall will changed your mind. However, do be reminded to eat with their sauce. Their grounded peanut sauce was smooth (like melted peanut butter) but this helped to stick completely onto their chicken satay.

Located near to famous Chiang Mai sausage market. This was like a Thai style economic rice. Served array of northern Thai dishes and mostly spice. Because of their opening hours, many students and workers loved to visit their stall for breakfast.
My order b/m ⬇️
Pad Ped Neua (Chili Beef), Mara Pad Kai (Bitter Melon with Egg) and Lon Tao Jeow (Frog Curry).
The chili beef was like Rendang beef (tender and spicy). But the most surprising dish was the frog curry. It was insanely hot but I couldn't have enough of it. Because of their blend of chili, it could break down any kind of tough meat. If you don't like to eat frog, this dish will change your life!!! To extinguish all the spiciness trapped in my mouth, the bitter melon egg was the appropriate dish.
To conclude this stall served the ultimate comfort northern Thai dishes. Everything was good, especially if you like spicy food (like me).
