Went for the combo for four which comes with a 1.5lb lobster, four mains, four sides and four drinks. While it was pretty good value, I would probably return just for the very satisfying lobster roll ($28)
The portion here was fairly generous, the unagi was noticeably more crisp and charred which was quite to my liking though perhaps it could have used more sauce.
The white flesh carries a rich and buttery sweet flavour that can rival those of premium crustaceans. The grill on the fish was almost perfect, giving rise to crispy caramelised edges.

Basilico remains one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Singapore, this roasted foie gras & veal bone marrow with porcini and black truffle ($30) was one of the highlights of the night as were the grilled lamb chops ($38)
Beef lovers, this new Japanese restaurant in Paragon will be right up your alley. Their signature Gyu-Katsu sees a glorious beef cutlet deep-fried for exactly one minute, resulting in meat that is crisp golden on the outside, and wonderfully rare on the inside. At the table, sear the beef to your preferred doneness on your individual hot plate. For the full experience, go for the Australia Beef Fillet Gyu-Katsu Set ($24.80 for 90g beef, $34.80 for 180g beef), which comes with accompanying rice, potato salad, miso soup, free flow shredded cabbage and dessert.
Avg price: $35 per person
Love the bagels here!
Reasonably priced & I couldn't get enough of the addictive chili and crunchy pig ears! Would give the wings a miss though
Huge portions aren't usually associated with Japanese culture, but since we're Singaporeans.. Sushi Kuu cleverly serves up mammoth-sized portions of Chirashi. Think extremely fresh assorted sashimi (from Tsukiji Fish Market!) on well-seasoned sushi rice. Their Signature Roll literally tastes like the ocean, with uni, botan ebi, black caviar and tobiko.
Hard to go wrong given that the beans are from common man and cakes from chef yamashita! Convenient and relaxing place for tea :)
Super reasonably priced + great coffee!
Would probably skip the mains - the foie gras baked eggs was particularly underwhelming. Loved the lychee tea though!
Tried quite a number of items on the menu and I must say the spicy Huevos Benedict remains one of my favourite!
