Buffets Galore
Fragrant wisps of herb enrich this hummus-like salad, crunchy cucumber slices, tomato and fresh blueberry suffused in olive oil it as most taste of fig. So good we finished it in one fell swoop.
Exclusively available for Mother's Day at Capella's Sunday brunch.

It's been a while since we've had a dish so beautifully light and delicious [not to mention, heathy] such as this stunning creation by Chef David.
The chunky guacamole is whipped from the requisite avocado, contoured with lemon, and peppered with feta, fig and mint ā velvety and rich as it should be. Pickled guava crowns the dish, with swirl of olive oil enriching its flavor.
So darned good.
A special dish exclusively available at Capella's Sunday brunch this Mother's Day!
Crowned with mussels and prawns, Marriott Cafe's tomato risotto is reminiscent of Spanish paella ā a tangy mash of flavours and abundant mix of ingredients. Although a serving pads the stomach down well, it leaves us hankering for more. We reckon you'd be better off trying this last ā it's so good you'll want seconds! Just be sure to save some stomach room for dessert.

Lamb may not suit everyone's palette, but these chunks of lamb are deliciously fork-tender, adding flavor and diminishing gaminess in one fell swoop ā sautĆ©ed in balsamic vinegar.

A perfectly cooked onsen egg sits on a hot plate in a moat of truffle sauce, basking in all its splendid glory, its full golden yolk bouncy and jiggly, teasingly tempting me to scoop it up before taking a photo. "Eat me", it taunts. Fresh shavings of black truffle and grated cheese rains down on the plump yolk, and I watch in anticipation as the server carefully hands it over. I pick up a spoon and gently press it against the jiggly yolk. Screw the photos. A river of sunshine bursts forth, and I quickly scoop it into our mouth. The warmth and richness of the yolk complemented by the musky, earthiness of truffle left me silent for a whole minute (which was how long it took me to polish off that dish). Itās the hallmark of all egg dishes. I obviously had seconds. Read all about Greenhouse's Truffle Rhapsody on GourmetAdventures.net!
Bet you're salivating at the mere mention of that. This gorgeously slow-cooked egg breaks into a soft and creamy golden river of yolk like a delicate custard to be savored. And savor it, I did. Complementing the perfectly cooked egg is a sweet-savory truffle sauce, topped with fresh shavings of black truffle to add even more oomph. Needless to say, I went back for seconds (and almost a third). After all, isn't that what buffets are for? (Endless consumption of top notch food.)
At $38, you get to indulge in an endless supply of sashimi (choose from salmon, tuna, yellowtail, swordfish and octopus) and (agemono, yakitori and more) items from the buffet a la carte menu. Desserts aren't included in the buffet but the refreshing yuzu and momo sherbet are great palate cleansers to round up your dinner!
Let the festivities begin! š
Gotta love lazy sundays. š
