High Tea 🍮

On the constant hunt for places to have tea or pastries these days where I can do work or to have tea at with my friends.

Chanced upon this place serving TWG tea (refillable) with choice of cake. Cost around $15, conducive environment, good service and no time restriction.

Lemon tart was alright, with a mixture of chocolate, curd and foam like meringue. Pastries are quite limited so perhaps the high tea set might be an alternative choice!

I really like how warm, hearty and crisp the pastry skin of the chicken pie and curry puff are. Chicken pie creamy, and meat tender which is a surprise upon cutting into it! 🥧

A good mix of sweet and savoury which is what I prefer when it comes to high tea. A couple of them were a miss but its alright, overall still worth the value. Service was superb and ambience cosy, no time limit is a huge bonus given the time limit at certain places now.

This set doesn’t need prior reservation, Chouquettes were sold out that day so they replaced it with Financiers. No complains though cause the Financiers did stood out amongst the rest. Scones, mini madeleines were acceptable, tasted above average. For Éclairs we ordered Pistachio, Salted Caramel and Lyechee White Peach. It good a good size for sharing so it wouldn’t be cloying. There wasn’t scrimping on the ingredients, definitely of quality. Ordered more tea because the portion included wasn’t enough for both of us.

What really made an impression was the Chicken & Bacon Pie 🥧 ! The outer pastry skin has its own mild taste and in it lay a ton of fillings, and after the first bite I just want more. The price is well worth it and I can see why its their popular item! Must try, must have.

A set of this for $45 includes sandwiches, scone, chocolate eclair and tarts. Located on the 32nd floor the view is magnificent and it is really quiet, great for chilling over high tea. Timing for high tea is 2.30-5pm and a set is $45.
