When there was a guest shift by Tangent Cocktail Bar at Lucky Bar. Enjoyed this "Turkish Delight" with a strong lychee flavour. Perfect for those who like sweet notes.

One of the more smokey, heavy cocktails on the menu at Mitzo. Available during their 1-for-1 Happy Hour.

Light on the alcohol, heavy on the sweetness. This pretty much tasted like a canned fizzy apple drink.

Twin towers of Octomore.

Octomore 07.1 || 208 PPM || 59.5% — really opens up with a few drops of water with cherry/fruity notes shining through. The usual smooth Octomore flavour and extremely peaty. Single malt Scotch whisky aged 5 years in bourbon casks.

Octomore 07.2 || 208PPM || 58.5% — finished in ex-Syrah wine casks from the Rhône region of France. Slightly sweeter in taste and more flavourful than 07.1. I prefer this one without water added as the taste becomes rather sharp with a few drops of H2O. I much rather this neat with the smokey flavours gradually engulfing my tastebuds.

Both have their unique points. I prefer 07.1 with water and 07.2 neat. 07.3 I prefer neat too.

07.1-07.3 conquered. Octomore is touted to be "THE WORLD'S MOST HEAVILY PEATED WHISKY SERIES".

An easy drink for someone like me who likes it a little sweet and not too overwhelming with the alcohol kick. The piece of chocolate is the perfect complement to nibble on as you sip this drink.

The Other Room is a speakeasy with its entrance well hidden as a wall in the lobby of Marriott. If it's your first visit you'll probably have to ask for directions. The interior is rather dark but casual enough for chatty outings with colleagues or friends.

Not for the faint of heart, this is one potent drink with an extremely smokey, and sharp alcoholic flavour. The cinnamon stick is lit to infuse the bourbon even more. My friend liked this though and I know it's not for my taste profile. So if you like something smokey and gives you a strong kick, go for this classic with a twist.

Served in a mason jar, this is a sweet, creamy cocktail. Perfect for me, but I took my time drinking this as it was kinda strong (which isn’t a bad thing). I was left wondering where the vanilla ice cream stated in the menu was in this cup though. A huge scoop of ice cream would've been nice.

This is not your average cocktail. More like a spiked beef broth—cos it actually contains beef broth! Tomato notes, slightly tangy and very much savoury. Not one for me, but the others seemed to like it. I did enjoy the dehydrated pineapple though.

The specialty of the bartender at Woobar - W Sentosa is this take on the Old Fashioned. The glass is filled with candy floss which melts when the shot is poured in, adding a little sweetness to the concoction.

Love this friendly little Whisky bar and this cocktail with Robert Burns Malt Whisky and Raspberry Vodka Liqueur in the test tube that you can add for additional poison. A cocktail for those who like it just a teeny bit sweet whilst still being a strong drink.

Can't get enough of this drink. Goes great with their burgers going for just $7.0 (UP $18 - $24) from 11.30am to 2-3pm till 22nd May '16.
