Want to check in this place for some time. I wouldn't pretend to know more than wanton mee fans so just put some facts about them here. 1) Their original wonton noodle shop is est. since 1985. 2) Their wonton mee is served in SIA 1st class & biz class ie. classified as iconic hawker food. With these 2 reasons, I just pop there and try it lor! 😉
👉 Noodle amount is generous, well coated with their sauce which I think is the highlight here (if you are into sweet nutty sauce). I am a savoury chilli type so not too swept away here. They give 2 pcs of #wontons (not tightly wrapped) with decent amount of char siew for this wonton noodle dry dish (menu 1). They also treat their veggie right (crunchy & not soggy meh). Maybe better try their crispy fried wonton as a snack next time!💡

Shrimp dumpling noodles at Kok Kee, once one of my faves at TPY. The dumplings have shrunks though but the oyster vegetables are still reliably good ( the fried shallots make it so tasty)
Normal plate of Wantan mee. I like the al dente noodles and it goes well the chilli sauce. Wantan was quite normal and smallish in size. Soup lacked the umami of Wantan mee soup used to boil wantans. Char Siew was too dry.
