Formerly known as Kim Soya Bean, the stall has since rebranded as Uncle Bean but it remains in the same spot, still serving its well-loved soya milk and tau fu fah.

Uncle Bean soya milk is all about freshness and simplicity. Made daily, it has a silky-smooth texture and natural soy aroma, balancing light creaminess with clean refreshment.

I tried both the white sugar and brown sugar versions. While the white sugar had that familiar, comforting sweetness, the brown sugar stole the show. It added a deeper, caramel-like richness, making every sip extra satisfying. Served cold, it was the ultimate way to beat the heat while strolling through Petaling Street ใ€‹RM3.60 / Bottle

Maybe not worth a special detour, but when you inadvertently find yourself in Petaling Street because you were an under-researched tourist (guilty), remember to try this queue-plagued stall.

The ๐˜€๐—ผ๐˜†๐—ฎ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฑ (RM1.80) was silky smooth and slid down my throat effortlessly after bouncing vivaciously between the walls of my mouth.

The ginger-tinged brown sugar made it delightfully addictive, infusing a good dose of sweetness and ginger fragrance. Maybe I would have preferred a more subdued ginger pungency, but I appreciated the complexity it brought to this popular #streetfood.

Find this soya bean stall situated right opposite Madam Tang Muah Cheeโ€™s cart. Thereโ€™s always a line for the drinks, but the queue moves fast, so get your order ready. Go for the silky smooth Tau Fu Fah (RM1.80) drizzled with a sweet gingery brown syrup thatโ€™s a match made in heaven with the warm soybean pudding. Pro tip: Burppler Esther Seletyn Chai says you can have it drizzled in soya milk too. On hot days, you canโ€™t go wrong with the simple Soya Bean (RM1.80), or the Soya Bean + Cincau (RM1.80).

Not-too-sweet soya bean with white sugar โ€“ they moved too fast for me to ask for brown sugar โ€“ thatโ€™s a must-have to sip on when in Petaling Street. Thereโ€™s also a soya cincau option!

I came on a Thursday afternoon and it was a completely different stall โ€“ Uncle Bean written on a yellow signboard. But I came back the next day and it was Kim Soya Bean! He tells me they (Kim) operates 7 days a week tho โ€“ still confused but glad to have finally had this! Was not expecting hot tau fu fa but this was very nice. More creamy with a denser consistency, the soy curd is super smooth. Especially loved the gingery brown sugar poured over.
