KFC (Bukit Panjang Plaza)

Firstly, let me apologize for this horribly shoddy photo which I actually had no intention of posting but I had to after my first bite. Heard all about the good things for this limited-time offer and had to try it for myself. The chicken is all pretty much familiar; the same story repeated ever since you had tried KFC's spicy with that crusted batter, but now showered with Parmesan for some extra cheesiness though the main point about all that fuss is is the truffle flavoured cheese dip. This literally puts some truffle fries to shame, especially since it comes from a fast food joint that is so commercialized; the moment you lift the lid and that truffle aroma instantly releases. Dip that chicken in, and you get that familiar cheesy flavour from the cheese fries accompanied with a reasonable amount of truffle flavour that is detectable without being too intimidating. The cheese covers the taste of truffle with every single morsel dipped; instead, dip each alternate piece of chicken so as to get that whiff of truffle aroma you need every time. Comes with a drink and whipped potato (which I swopped for a coleslaw) as a meal. Now, if only they could make this sauce a permanent feature with their popular cheese fries; that's a winning recipe!

The chicken shrink so terribly compared to the previous time when they have Bandito. 😔 we are really getting expensive. 😁

Mala Grilled Chicken?

Well it kinda taste like it but in fact it’s their newest Hotblaze Grilled chicken. The “mala” flavour that I tasted came from the Sichuan spices inside giving it that tingling sensation on the tongue. It was extremely succulent and the juices oozed out in my mouth when I bit into it. My only gripe would be the oiliness of the chicken but then again, it’s KFC don’t be expecting organic salad or anything of that sort.
