Brioche French toast with berry compote.
Beautifully plated. Great place to bring dogs.
The housemade brioche bun was better than the patty, unfortunately. Very ordinary beef. A lot of things were happening, including bacon, caramelised onion, mesclun, cheddar, truffle mayo, mustard and bois boudran, but the pickles made it very McDonald's hamburger. Served with very ordinary slaw and fries.
The crumbly buttery croissant was really good and goes well with the eggs. Def better eggs benny elsewhere.
Just the way I like it - sweet, moist, warmed; enhanced with vanilla ice-cream. Goes pretty well with coffee!
Chilled lunch in the outdoor section, even if it is overlooking a car park it feels tranquil. Hit and miss on the food; underwhelming portion for the huevos rancheros pictures (20++) but livened up by the jalapeños. Clear winner was the fish and chips, crispy beet batter and wholesome portion. Would recommend that of the 2 dishes.
It was pretty good but the caramelised onion was a little too sweet, and the it could do with some seasoning!
