This is a promotional lunch set, complete with chawanmushi, a bowl of miso soup and a cup of hot green tea.
I am usually quite wary of sashimi at budget prices because I feel that they are usually not fresh. At this price point, I wasn’t expecting much too. The sashimi isn’t as fresh as I would have liked them to be, but the amount is decent for the price. The octopus was a bit rubbery and tough, and some of the sashimi tasted a bit bland on my tongue. The tamago cubes were sweet and soft, according to my memory of how I think Japanese tamago should taste like. They use Japanese rice but the rice felt a bit undercooked to me.
But it was truly value-for-money considering the amount of sashimi that are in there.
$8/ ppax
Fish was a little dry, but overall good for the price and came with rice. I recommend at least trying once
DO NOT ORDER the kimchi soup. It’s too spicy for anyone
First of its kind in Singapore, the hot stone tendon ($11.80) comes with enticingly prawn tempura and crunchy kakiage complete with an onsen egg in the middle.
•
Two more soup pots, Health & Beauty Salmon Pot ($9.80) and Spicy Chicken Pot ($9.80) are now available too! We just can’t get enough of the miso based Health & Beauty Salmon Pot which contains fresh Norwegian salmon, onions, mushrooms and fresh vegetables.

Similar to claypot rice, I always like to let the rice sizzle longer so that I can enjoy the crisped rice by the side and bottom of the hot stone 😂
Refreshing concept and affordable price, so why not? 🤤
