Tried their new mentai carbonara udon and it’s pretty nice. It’s like udon in cream soup. The soup wasn’t very thick but was rich in flavour so it was easy to eat. However there wasn’t much of the mentai taste, seems like whenever mentai is in soup the flavour is lost easily. There’s a seafood variation of this too 😋

This has now become my new favourite place to go to whenever I'm in need of a quick pick-me-up. I like how the noodles have a bite to it-- probably due to the automated noodle cooking machine that boils it to the right consistency. If you're feeling a little down, the Kake Udon is definitely one not to be missed too-- the hearty broth would definitely have you feeling better in no time!

I chose the Kitsune Udon ($6.90), which was simple but standout! Enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the light but tasty broth. The aburaage tofu was particularly enjoyable, packed with sweet and savory flavours. Best aburaage I’ve had in a while!
Picked two tempura pieces for sides, the jumbo prawn ($3.50) and the creamy crab ($2.90), both fried to crispy perfection.

First try at Idaten. Their soup is really nice. Noodle is QQ and nice. Bowl is real big for a regular size. Friend ordered his Kitsune udon. We also ordered one bowl of oden. The oden soup is really nice too. Will come back again !

This is cold udon with vegetables and char siew. It was just alright and I prefer their soup udons instead.

The soup was very addictive; and it tastes waaayy more shiok when you add the fried tempura flakes as it gives a slight texture as you slurp the soup down your throat. The cooked pork slices were tipped over the cooked udon, which could be better if they were being poured with boiling hot soup when raw, like shabu shabu. Without that, the soup flavour lacks the meat flavour.
