Remember my previous post on Ichiran Ramen? Well, today I'm introducing a unique Ichiran ramen bowl that can only be found at one specific branch in Fukuoka, nowhere else in Japan!

Kamadare Tonkotsu Ramen (¥980) with Half-Boiled Egg (¥140)
This Kamadare style tonkotsu ramen features garlic, green onions, original spicy red sauce, pork slices, and noodles, but with a twist. It’s been modified to be a more aromatic, deeper, richer, and sweeter version through years of experimenting with the dashi made from extra premium sliced pork. The pork slices here are thicker, juicier, fattier, and more flavourful compared to their standard chashu. The dashi broth is made from stewed pork, adding a richness that enhances the already umami-packed tonkotsu soup. I really liked this version as the taste is much stronger, thicker, and more flavourful than the usual Ichiran ramen.

Japan trip booked for end of the year! I haven't had the chance to try their pop-up at Takashimaya where Ichiran ramen would be available till 20 October, so I'll have to make a stop when I'm in Japan later this year.

🍜🍜🍜. Somehow it tastes better than the one in HK. We went to the outlet next to our hotel in Fukuoka. We purchased the ticket on the vending machine before we were seated in an individual cubicle. The ramen was then served through a window. Loved such practicality and fast service. Good thing that there was nobody there, I was spared the judgemental glare from everyone 🤣🤣🤣.
