One of the OG cafes in the area, I am... serves up simple, yet hearty dishes, ranging from pastas, to burgers and many more!
With #BurppleBeyond, we were only able to select from the pasta section & went for the Cajun Chicken Aglio Olio. This dish packed a punch with their Cajun seasoning but did not overpower the entire dish. The spaghetti was lightly tossed in olive oil, and topped with a grilled Cajun chicken-a simple yet tough dish to master.
Located at the entrance (from North Bridge Road) of Haji Lane, I am... cafe can be easily spotted from afar with it's large signage and Alfresco-like dining space.
As a Muslim-owned establishment, their dishes are made accessible to more cafe-goers who enjoys visiting this area!
An early lunch meant that we could grab a seat at this popular cafe and we ordered the Penne Pesto Pasta ($15.90). It comes with perfectly booked penne served with a large portion of grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, olives and pesto herbs.
The chicken was pre-shredded, but still retained some moisture to ensure that it's tender. The pesto was well-balanced without being too salty and the sun-dried tomatoes added a nice sour tang to the dish. Overall, a satisfying dish to re-order when I visit!
Thankfully with #BurppleBeyond, we got this at 1 for 1, so my pasta was half the price, definitely worth it!
Pastas and Burgers all taste super good! I recommend Cajun Chicken and Chicken pesto if you're getting the 1-for-1deal. They have several seating for groups of 4-6.

Being a halal restaurant, this rendition of the mojito doesn't contain any alcohol at all! The drink was surprisingly sweet despite it being infused with lime juice, as we could taste a faint aftertaste of lime. At less than $7++, it is a pretty great drink for haters of sour stuff!! Do be sure to mix it thoroughly before drinking otherwise you will find that the bottom is overwhelmingly sweet!
Pasta was cooked al dente, and served with pieces of grilled chicken and garnished with cherry tomatoes. For spices, there was a lot of black pepper, with some cut chilli added for more spiciness. The dish was more spicy than we expected although we think it is still bearable.
We think the dish is pretty worth it with the Burpple Beyond voucher but given it's small serving size, it may come across as too expensive without any discounts. There is nothing fanciful about this dish but we find it decent nonetheless.
Pasta (Cajun Chicken and Penne Pesto) was scrumptious that the photo was only taken after demolishing the meal!
Visited during the fasting month & I waited 1 hr + before the food finally arrive. Their fried chicken & beef patty is pretty juicy and their twister fries taste like the ones macdonalds offer from time to time, yummy. The only down side was that i topped up $2 (I think) for the truffle fries but there was barely any truffle taste (as you can tell from the photo) Apart from that, food was pretty decent, ambiance was good (can get a little hot as I was seated on the 2nd level) & quite affordable too!

Their unexpectedly good food is what brings diners back again and again, especially for their fried seafood, hearty burgers and beautifully layered cakes. Go for the Penne Pesto Pasta ($15.90), Meatball Pasta ($16.90) and Vegetarian Pasta ($11.90). Other signature must-trys include the Fish & Chips ($15.90), and the Charcoal-grilled Juicy Beef Burger ($13.90).

We had the beef burgers and jalapeno poppers. Delicious and juice burger, but nothing exceptional.
I was contemplating on trying between their chicken satay burger & this burger. So elated that I chose the latter! The beef patty was the bomb, & the pineapple ring totally complement the entire taste! Will come again whenever I’m craving for a beef burger.

Caramel Macchiato; a smooth frothed coffee which taste great and the caramel sauce added a rich sweetness to it—just the right amount of sweetness 💯
The flavours of Cafe Latte wasn't as strong as I thought it would be, felt that the flavours could have been more intense. However, I love how the Cafe Latte comes with a chocolate cookie which goes pretty well with the drink and balanced the flavour out that was missing.
Paid 14.90++ for this and I felt that the bun were a little too dry even though it's home made from my understanding. The only highlight of this dish is probably the satay chicken!

cafe with the launch of 4 different flavored beef ribs namely the Maple & Chipotle, Rootbeer & Molasses, Tennessee Glazed and Honey & Whole Grain Mustard. Boss burger with mushrooms, beef patty, lettuce, tomato and truffle mayo. The truffle was really prominent in this dish and the portion was really big. The fries are fries and everyone loves fries. I really liked the chili they served with it I think they mixed it with ketchup heh.
The chai tea latte was an impulse buy as the sun was scorching but I don't regret it. One of the best chai tea lattes I've had. The spices were not too strong and it was cold, thick and creamy.
The burger certainly lived up to it's name! It was definitely HUGEEEEE!! It was well stacked with the beef patty and bacon, top with sauteed mushrooms and vegetables. The taste of the truffle oil was just nice and helps to balanced the meal. The fries were freshly made and were soooooo good!!
The only time I settle for fish and chips at any regular non-specialty store is when I’m feeling highly uninspired, so I guess that says a lot in itself. Says even more that this ended up being the best of all we ate over lunch 😐 Batter was light, fish was as decent as frozen white fish goes, fries were...well, fries.
