Headed by the veteran Chef Lau, you get the HK styled fatty char siew which is both sweet & savory - with the right balance of fat layers perfectly suited to the local tastebuds.

It is slightly charred at the sides giving off just a tinge of a smoky aroma, while some may actually prefer their meat to be roasted to a darker hue, this may actually appeal to the more health-conscious.

Will be back for the other barbequed pork, hopefully it's as succulent as this!
Tender duck and smooth char siew, a satisfying lunch. A little pricey at $7.80 + service charge and gst.

Come to my favorite type of food. Hong Kong Style roasted meat! For all roasted meat fan, House of Roasted Meat had opened their branch at Jalan Sultan Plaza. .

Thin crispy duck skin. Need not the additional flooding for gravy to make up for the moisture. They used the golden ratio for char Siew (2 part meat: 1 part fat). Every mouth was so enjoyable that I almost wanted a second. .

Helmed by an esteemed chef who was previously the number one barbecue cook at The Excelsior Hotel and Convention Centre in Hong Kong, you can expect the roast meat in this cha chaan teng to be as authentic as it gets. While the sister outlet at Bugis Village may experience better foot traffic, you'd be better off finding a seat at this second outlet along Jalan Sultan. Come with a group of friends and have the Four Heavenly Kings Platter ($48) to share — it comes with the crispy roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, barbecued pork and crispy roasted pork. Everything is tasty, but we're biased towards the latter, which is luscious and melt-in-your-mouth! If it's just the two of you, the Triple Combo ($24) (any three meats of your choice) will satisfy. For a quick lunch, order the Braised Beef Brisket Noodles ($7.80) that comes with unbelievably tender beef chunks!
Avg price: $10 per person

It's been a while since I had such good roast HK meats! While I'm a HUGE fan of the fatty kind, I appreciate how tasty the thin-skinned, roasted kind are. HOWEVER, what you should really come for is the Crispy Roasted Pork. WAH this sio bak is bomb! The fats just below the super crispy skin literally melts in your mouth! 😱😱😱 Definitely comes highly recommended!
