The pear & peach crumble Dutch baby ($9) that arrived in a cute little pan, with blueberry compote and vanilla ice cream would be a great after-dinner dessert for sharing! Eat immediately for maximum pleasure. 😋

Panfried honey caramelized banana, salted dark chocolate, peanuts with chocolate ice cream. Unique crispy side eggy pancakes pancakes originally from Germany but made famous in USA.

Dutch-baby pancakes in a hawker centre? And a pretty enjoyable one at that! Soft, eggy with crisped sides, loved that the Lemony Mixed Berries wasn't too sweet with macerated berries, lemon curd and strawberry ice cream. ($9)

New to hipster enclave of The Bedok Marketplace is Hot Pans, a stall which focuses solely on Dutch baby pancakes. Open from noon till 10pm, you'll be able to settle your cravings long before dinner. For the uninitiated, these babies are warm, eggy, crepe-like pancakes served in a small pan. The Classic Dutch Baby is the simplest of the variations served here — a choice of drizzle and a scoop of ice cream— allowing you to experience it in its true form. For something a little fancier, go for the Cinnamon Apple Crumble ($7.50) that comes with caramelised apples, raisins and salted caramel ice cream. This is a great dessert to share after a good meal.

From Hot Pans at The Bedok Marketplace, a new stall which serves Dutch Baby Pancakes. This was a classic flavour that can't get wrong; caramalised apples, apple cubes, raisins, cinnamon and salted caramel ice-cream atop a Dutch Baby Pancake served in a small pan. The pancake was eggy and crepe-like, crisp on the edges though it gets a little bit denser further in. At $7.50, this is possibly one of the most affordable baby pancakes you can get; would probably try their classic variant when I am back in the area some day.

There's always room for dessert!
