Fresh and juicy
Aburi nigiri, sashimi grilled fish and torched beef cubes were amazing. Some other items (eg. soft shell crab, chawamushi) were a bit fishy but otherwise really great japanese buffet for the price.
Hokkaido sushi is honestly one of the best Japanese buffets you can ask for in Singapore. The pricing is reasonable. You get what you pay for and that is basically quality.
I'm a huge fan of their salmon and swordfish sashimi. The food is so fresh and the service is commendable. You have to try their garlic, miso and spicy sushis. This place is totally worth your calories.
At $44++ per pax, this ala carte lunch buffet is really worth it. Fresh sashimi especially salmon and swordfish, it even offers assorted mental aburi sushi to choose. Their sushi also has garlic miso ones which are equally good. My favourite is aburi salmon, swordfish, prawn sushi. Highly recommended if you just want to indulge in sashimi and sushi.
I was deciding on which dish to be a representation for my review for hokkaido sushi restaurant because they've got good quality sashimi, delicious dishes and decent pricing. We went for the weekend dinner buffet @$ 50.50++ - more expensive than the weekday lunch prices.Dishes to try when you are there: pitan tofu, garlic miso/aburi mentai torched sushis, the maki rolls (as pictured), wagyu beef with mushroom, sashimi selection of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, octopus and swordfish. Liked their facebook page to get a complimentary haagen daz ice cream and free flow ocha with an additional $2.50++
the buffet at Hokkaido sushi restaurant is always a good place to load up on fresh sashimi. I particularly enjoy the salmon and swordfish, but the cooked foods are not too bad too!
P.S if you book via hungrygowhere you can enjoy up to a 30% discount off the buffet!
