The chicken was quite tender. It is flavourful but a bit sweet. A pity they don't sell hor fun. There is only rice and noodles option. The noodles are quite springy.

Really love the silkiness of the noodles and the tender chicken meat. I finished two plates on my own to my own surprise โบ๏ธ
Less than $10 for a one star Michelin Star meal? Iโm so glad they opened an outlet at Toa Payoh (and its air-conditioned!). Iโve tried **almost** all their items, Soya Sayce Chicken, Char Siew and Pork Belly.
The noodle is nice and chewy, the chicken was tender and not dry at all. I also enjoyed the Char Siew, itโs well bbq-ed that wasnโt too fatty. I think itโs a good meal to have on a casual weekday night.
The soya chicken noodles at Hawker Chan truly blew me away. I usually shun soya sauce chicken with noodles because it's either the chicken isn't properly cooked or the meat is filled with bones or the noodles aren't springy enough.
This one at Hawker Chan surprised me because the noodles were crunchy and it doesn't stick together. The sauce control was just right. The chicken meat was very tender and almost boneless. It's a very pleasant dining experience and changed my perspective of soya sauce chicken noodles.
I like that it's well marinated. Heard the rice isn't good so we got the noodles instead. But whether worth its Michelin star...? Welllll I'm not too sure about that. ๐ค
Think I need to pace myself with all the good food I'm going to eat in the coming weeks... Need to go gymming every day liao... ๐ #burpple #checkoutmyselfportrait #youseewhatididthere
This time round, I decided to try out their char siew and I'm glad they do quite a good rendition of it! Even the lean parts of the meat was tender and sufficiently juicy. They gave quite a generous serving of sauce too, which coated my noodles well and made them absolutely slurp worthy! Their sambal sauce doesn't seem to be spicy at all, and only served to make the dish even more sweet, so for those who are looking for more of a kick can help themselves to the free flow green chilli at the side instead.
Unfortunately, my mother's order of soya sauce chicken didn't fare as well as my choice of meat; some parts were terribly undercooked that it was still very red. The parts that were cooked though, was still as tender as we remembered. I really hope this is a one time thing, because the chicken that we had at their Chinatown outlet was beautifully cooked.
*serving time (compared to the Smith street's stall)seems to be shorter and there is a condiments counter here so huge pluses for that! ๐
