Mee tai mak with thick coats of sizzling sweet and sour zhup 😻They have a no-spicy option as well. The best part was the surprise layer of egg 'neath the noodles! The original dish comes with chilli, but beware for the spice is real!
While everyone is out having fun at coffee fest. I went to get myself bandaged up at the Chinese Physio at Bedok Reservoir and had a quiet lunch here. 🤕 The mee tai mak was so spicy my whole body was radiating heat, from the Chinese ointment bandages on my shoulder to my mouth. Haha! Would have been more shiok if they lower the spice level a little. But it's pretty nice to have an egg layer on the hot plate w mee tai mak topped on top w yong tau foo stuff and sauce. 😋 #burpple #saturday #yongtaufoo #hookeeyongtaufoo
Perhaps the most dreadful Kaya Butter Toast I have had so far. It was barely crisp in the edges, and the bread seemed limp and doughy in the middle as though it wasn't even toasted. Thank goodness for the proportional spread of Kaya and butter, but nothing could save that uninspiring toast somehow.
