($3) quite sweet aftertaste tbh but chocolate + blueberry combo just don't fit in tbh π₯Ήπ« so if u got sweet tooth then still ok then but don't try it out if u don't like sweet stuff.
πΈ: $5.80
π¬: wanted their tiramisu cake but that wasn't avail so i settled for this π’π’π’
pretty dry, but when microwaved and topped with homemade dark chocolate ganache, this was mind blowing π₯΅
Are you a fan of nonya kuehs like me? πββοΈπββοΈ Got these kuehs from Galicier Confectionary in my hood but it changed hands so the standards have plummeted drastically! π
.
Attractive in crimson red β€, this Ang Ku Kueh encases a rather substantial amount of peanut filling π₯ which is finely-ground, aromatic & sweet! There's room for improvement for the glutinous rice skin which was very thick & tough.
.
I've always got a soft spot for Kueh Salat π but this one disappoints. π’ Beautifully clad in a bright green coat, this pandan custard layer had a smoother texture β but the pandan aroma was evidently missing Too sweet & use of pandan essence = β from me. Even the well-prepared glutinous rice layer couldnt be its saving grace.
.
Huat Kueh could afford to be softer & fluffier as this was pretty dense. Overall too sweet also but nostalgic! Apparently it is supplied from this called food supplier called Chua Peng Seng Food Manufacturing. π
.
Simply love old-school treats but these were just so disappointing! Will be waiting for Bengawan Solo to reopen! π―
Attractive in crimson red β€, the soft & mochi-like chewy glutinous rice skin encases a rather substantial amount of peanut filling! πππ Finely-ground, aromatic & sweet, this is why i always love this traditional classic filling π. Simply love these old-school treats! ππ»

Lovers of ang ku kuehs out there, helloooo! πββοΈπββοΈ Hope these bright AKK brightens up your Monday, my friends! π
Celebrating National Day πΈπ¬ with Singaporeans' all-time favourite Pandan Chiffon Cake!
.
Just look at this tall & airy beauty! πππ So fragrant & fluffy i felt like i was munching on (mildly) sweet clouds! The pandan fragrance simply lingers in your mouth after those gentle munches π Especially like the browned sides that adds an extra aroma that makes it even more irresistable. π
.
This is simplicity at its best! ππ»
Impressed my colleague by correctly identifying the bakery that made these Ang Ku Kuehs just by looking at the imprint of that mould! βπ»βπ»βπ» Matter of fact is, these are from my neighbourhood bakery that my family frequents (& Iβve featured a few times), which explains my familiarity with their mould shape! πππ Of course I can recognise one of my favourite childhood (& extends even to adulthood) snack lah! π€£
.
Galicier Confectionary had a pop-up booth at Square 2 last week & long queues during lunch hours were a common sight. ππ» My colleague got these traditional treats at $3.50 for 4 β they ran out of peanut ones so we had to make do with mung bean filling!
.
Iβve always adored their peanut Ang Ku Kuehs, which I felt are really one of the better ones in Singapore (behind Ji Xiang & Poh Cheu that is!) π Their Mung Bean one did not disappoint as well. The mochi-like crimson-red skin was soft & chewy; most importantly it was not sticky to the teeth. ππ»ππ»ππ»
.
Albeit a bit on the coarse side in my opinion, the generous amount of mung bean filling was a good mix of sweet & savoury with earthy flavours, which fills your mouth up with its aroma instantly. πππ The pandan leaf which it sits atop imparts an alluring pandan fragrance that made this an irresistible treat. β€

Thanks @jc0513 for always feeding me in office! π
