1st time at this spot and it's already an unpleasant dining experience... Doubt I'll return ever.

Got allocated a seat upstairs despite making a reservation and to my horror there was a malay family, about 20 pax, gathering around the stairway and waiting to be seated by the staff. Staff did not even bother to space us out and allocated us a table in close proximity to them, which I discovered afterwards could be that they probably didn't want to switch on another aircon. Diners were intermingling between tables and staffs did not say anything.

For this sort of service standard, why am i paying service charge? What sort of service is there if I need to climb up and down to place my order and having to endure such a chaotic dining environment?

The dish is very well seasoned but I felt that the fish can be abit less dry. They have other dishes like the meatballs that are a lot better.

Priced at $26, I am rather satisfied though.

While it was not mindblowing-good, this Grilled Chicken ($17++) was pretty decent! πŸ˜‹
.
3 hugeeee slabs of nicely grilled boneless chicken leg topped with a ladle of creamy whole grain mustard sauce, accompanied with sautΓ©ed vegetables (which were a little too tough), alfafa sprouts & crunchy baby potatoes, this definitely makes a hearty meal! βœ”

Can you handle this meaty plate? 🀣

IKEA has definitely glorified Swedish meatballs so how can I give this signature dish a miss at Fika right? πŸ˜‰
.
Featuring 8 beef meatballs, baby potatoes, drizzled in cream sauce with a side of lingonberry jam, this plate of Swedish Meatballs ($19++) definitely made a hearty meal! 🐷🐷🐷 Especially liked the pickled cucumbers which added a refreshing element to the plate & making the meats less heavy. πŸ˜‹

Marinated & handmade in-house every morning, these meatballs were tender & of the right texture - not too coarse nor too fine, not too dense nor too loose. πŸ‘πŸ»

Somehow, I still prefer my meatballs savoury, but I do enjoy an occasional dip in the sweet jam to spice things up a little, else wolfing down 8 meatballs in heavy cream sauce can get a little monotonous. 🀣 This is better shared in my opinion! βœ”

This certainly earned some BROWNIE points in my books! 😍
.
Kladdkaka (Swedish brownie; $8++) at Fika is bound to satisfy any sweet tooth lover! πŸ’• Featuring a slice of rich chocolatey brownie topped with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, icing sugar & fresh berries, this made an awfully indulgent treat! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Particularly liked the crusty sides that bear the aroma of baked goods 🀀, well complemented by the rich fudgey centre where intense cocoa flavours bursts in every bite. πŸ‘πŸ»

Cuz Christmas should be on a sweet note! ❀
